JB4 w/ xdrive stock midpipe question

Since xdrive has 1 cat in the DP and 1 in the midpipe, do you need to decat the midpipe as well to run map2 or will it run fine with 1 cat (and a catless dp)?

Which chassis? I don't believe all X-drive's have secondary cats.

I have the same; I only recall seeing a resonator on the mid pipe. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

All you need to do is change the stock DP for a catless or high flow cat downpipe

For some reason I thought xdrive had a single cat in the DP and a cat in the midpipe but sounds like I was mistaken which is easier for me anyways

Just the downpipe nearest the engine needs to be replaced, that is the biggest restriction.

Although it's not say there won't be benefit in removing all cats. However, the removal of cats may lead to a raspy note so I'd replace with a resonator for the secondary cat, personally.

I have the F34 GT and we have a "secondary cat". For performance and sound purposes, all you need to worry about is the main cat in the downpipe. There is a NOX Cat farther down the line, about 6 inches long, about halfway back. I removed this along with my resonator to have a full straight pipe back to the muffler, but again, it's not necessary.
