Let's "talk"
about voice commands.
Is there anyone out there using them? I had restricted voice commands in my E90, but I'm faced with a wide variety in my F30. I don't even think it's been discussed much on the main board. So, where do we start?

Where do you want to start?
Failing that, tell me about your father. |

Start with the appendix in the user manual
I use it for the Nav mainly. Its actually really good a recognising suburb and street names (less so at repeating them back!). I also use it for changing the split screen displays. For the media stuff I tend to use the scroll wheel and the cluster display. Its definately a big improvement over the last generation though.

Well, he was born in Romania in 1928, looks like he's in his 60's (he walks kms almost daily) and is thoroughly enjoying his retirement years with my mum taking cruises & playing local lawn bowls.
Anything else?

All I do is say "saved station 1-2-3-4" and I laugh when it's repeated back and takes an hour to do so. She also sounds like she could cop a good root or two... She needs to let her hair loose

The E90's lady is a real lady's recording. The F30's is digital and a backwards step. Another thing I will miss from the E90.

David- that's a shame, but there must be a reason, like maybe there's too many functions to say be able to record |
