Exclamation Log and check you map!

Hi guys

I urge you to check how your map is operating before going all in driving the nuts off the car!

My car is driving great, however, to me this does not look optimal/safe. So...IF you see anything suspecious - please have it checked so we can avoid the sad stories on this forum.

Thanks for the post! I have been meaning to do this, and i'm curious what OBD module and app you used for this data as I'm looking to buy one in the coming weeks!

So given that log, what is your plan of attack to resolve the issues?

I used bootmod3 for this log but previously I also logged with Torque. You have several options as long as you are connected to the OBDII. With regards to knock I only know of bootmod3 that can log this parameter.

I have detuned the car using JB4 until I can get a go/ng confirmation on the above.

What I already know is that a modern engine is always running on the edge of knock to optimize combustion so I am fairly confident the stock map is worse running similar boost levels. With BM3 the most timing advance I have seen is ~10° where as stock goes above 15° WOT if octane allows it.
I am running 98RON with this map and even though that should equate to 93AKI it might actually be lower octane causing these issues.

No matter I will continue to use this map as DME target is much closer to tuned boost compared to stock map making especally the shifting smoother. My plan is also to run meth again which will solve any octane deficiency.

Would be even more interesting to knock log JB4 on stock flash

Yes it would. Unfortunately that is not possible as the JB4 will go map0 if you connect anything to the OBD port.
