BMW Brake service Rotor Rip off
For those of you that don't know this, in the USA brake service is included in the 4 year maintenance, but not in Canada.
I spoke to a BMW dealership in USA, that told me that BMW USA policy is when brakes service is required, that as long as the roters are with in the spec, they simply replace the pads and sensors. Notwithstanding if the roters are in bad shape or warping, then they will replace them but essentially they only replace the pads on the existing rotors. They don't even machine the rotors, just replace the pads. What really pisses me off is here in Canada, they always try to sell you new rotors with your brake service which almost doubles the cost of the service. |

Yes, this is common knowledge. We get jipped in price of our cars too, for what you pay for 328i in canada you can get in 335i. Make me so sad, I coulda had a M3 in the states for what I pay for my 335i.

other small things like: less 12V jacks, the nets behind the front seats, M-sport options for 328, M-sport steering wheel on sport line 320i, etc…
as for brakes, getting the rotors done is no big deal. They are pretty worn already. |
