Time it takes to go from German factory to Bremerhaven

You guys have any idea how long it takes, once production is complete, for the car to arrive in Bremerhaven port?

I've searched extensively but can't find what I'm looking for. I know how long the typical build takes; I know how long it usually takes to ship from Bremerhaven to the US; I know how long it typically takes to transport from US port to dealer, including VPC time. I just can't find any posts talking about how long it takes to move from the factory to German port.

TIA!!

Mine was about 2 days. And now it has been sitting in the port for a week, waiting to be put on a ship.

I'm not sure of the accuracy of the 800# but according to the updates it took 4 days to transport to port then another 13 days of waiting to get on a boat. So a total of 17 days from production end (2/21) to setting sail (3/9). This is for a German build on it's way to Ohio. I also found that the shipping site had my VIN documented about 3 -4 days before the 800 number said it was en route to the US.

From what I gathered most Ohio builds land in Baltimore but I'm anxious to see how long it takes to transport from Baltimore to my dealer.

I'm in Ohio as well buddy!

Mine finished production on Feb 27th...I was hoping I can pick it up before end of March but now it seems the most realistic date would be mid April.

Nice, I'm just a little north of you near dayton.

Mine is supposed to land in Baltimore on the 3/21. Dealer said it could take 1-2 weeks to get to the dealer and be prepped. I too was hoping for a delivery by end of March but i'm not holding my breath.

Been a crazy long wait, order placed on 1/2 and took FOREVER to get a production build slot for a RWD 335i.

I did order from Voss. They have been really good to work with. Bought a custom ordered X3 from them less than 2 years ago too.

I shopped for best prices from all the Cincy, Columbus and Dayton dealers and Voss had the best price and we live really close to them so it worked out really well.

Thanks, back at ya! You have a really nice build. I went with a stripper 335i MSport: Nav, Camera, paddles, Dynamic Handling, heated seats. that's about it.

I can't wait to go play on some of my favorite roads in southern / south eastern Ohio!

I was reading that the Buckeye chapter of BMWCCA is holding a track day at mid-ohio first week of September. Looking forward to giving that a whirl. You plan on participating in anything like that?

Yeah, similar situation for me too! I'm over in central CT and places my order back on 1/26 and took the longest time to finally get an allocation of a 335i RWD model. My dealer warned me BMW wasn't running as many 335i builds.

Production was quick but took over a month to get into production. Now it's at the exit port awaiting shipment to the U.S. hoping to get it before the end of march but who knows... :-)

My current 335i was delivered to my dealer here in Indy 2 days after it hit Baltimore.. That was just a few weeks after they started using the Mercedes Baltimore VPC , and it was right at Memorial Day weekend. Whoever did the processing did a sucky job, and my dealer had to clean up their mess. Probably a Mercedes guy who was pissed having to work the holiday. They even "preset" all my radio stations to obnoxious channels. I complained about the VPC to BMW. Hopefully, they have got their act together now and don't screw up my F30!
