Samsung S7 Edge Compatibility?
How long does it typically take for BMW to release software updates to incorporate new phones? I bought a CPO 335i six months ago.
Just traded in my HTC One M8 for a new Samsung S7 Edge. Bluetooth connectivity with the new phone has been a nightmare. Phone continually attempts to connect, then drops, then reconnects. This process also knocks my iPod offline as well. I checked the BMW site and the Edge is not listed on its compatibility list. I assume it'll be included in some future update. I like the phone and would like to keep it but I need to use it in the car. Should I just trade it back in for an iPhone 6s? My wife has one and it connects just fine. |

I have an S7 edge myself and have no issues at all with connectivity on my 330d (2014), phone is running latest Samsung software along with BMW's most recent iDrive software.
Have you tried factory resetting you S7 connection settings ? |

Take car in for service. Tell service advisor about problem and typically dealer will install latest I step level which possibly includes new firmware for your idrive.
I have a Galaxy S7 with NBT and no major issues. If your car is 2012 or 2013 it will have CIC, the older Nav hardware. Still, should work better than your description.
