Interested in hearing about experience form anyone who has Driver Assistance Plus.

Did it save you from a minor or major accident?

I'm looking to trade my 2010 X5 for a CPO with DAP.

Not sure how a top down view is going to save your life... mind you that you shouldn’t be looking at the camera while driving. I only use it for parking.

DAP is much more than surround view cameras. That said, I don't have it, so it hasn't saved me from an accident. If I did more driving on busy highways I'd have given it more consideration, but 90% of my driving is on lightly traveled roads.

DAP has crash mitigation for frontal collisions. It will first start an audio sound , then prep-brakes then finally apply brakes to mitigate collision.

On the. way home from getting my son's 328i CPO it engaged when car in front of him turned left without a signal.

Granted he should have been more defensive but although it didn't save our lives it probably avoided a nice rear-ender.

I was all set to trade in my X5 for a sweat loaded 2015 328ix GT CPO.

It was gonna be a 8 hour drive. I didn't get the CPO check list so I asked for it a few times prior to leaving.

I noticed that there were 3 services but only 2 oil changes

1. 8K Mile BMW Oil Change
2. 17K mile BMW service but no oil change
3. 29K mile BMW Oil Change

when asked why there was no oil change for 20K miles - first I was told that BMW recommends 20K mile between changes (clearly BS ). But, I persisted and they finally checked with service and told me that they had to de-list the CPO because of its service record.

Moral of the story - Trust but verify - make sure you review the CPO checklist and the service record.

The interval for a 2015 is 12K miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. I bet 8K was time based, but perhaps at 17K neither the next mileage or time marker had been reached. The car would have been asking for an oil change at 20K, but for whatever reason the owner ignored it? That's almost unbelievable, considering it wouldn't have cost him anything. It's possible that the oil was changed at some point in between 8K and 29K, maybe even during that 17K service, and the dealer neglected to put that in the service record. I'd almost bet on it, since 29K is 12K past 17K.

The other thing is that once he hit 20K the dashboard would have been telling him he needed an oil change every time he started the car for the next 7K miles.

probably indicates that they actually did the oil change and the tech forgot to record it.
