Totally agree with you.
Even if I haven't received my car yet , I'am quite worried to be driving driving without a spare tire. I have a feeling that I will be less confident to go long distance trips to " empty" areas ....

Suggestion: buy a M Mobility Kit and always keep it in your car's trunk.
The kit includes a 12V air compressor and a can of tire sealant to inject into a flat tire.
No way would I drive into remote areas without this kit.

I think ASS works great with MT cars. Not so good on AT but mine isn't doing too badly. Just annoying instances where it shuts off just as I want to set off and as the needle is dropping to Ready, it boots again which I can't imagine is good for it :/
Problem is, I couldn't tell you why it's not good for it apart from extra starter motor wear! Just goes against common sense. The "Mike Myers" way of thinking someone once said.

Agreed !
BMW made a retrograde decision to not include LED turn signals in
the F30.

The ASS operation was seamless on the 335i AT that I test drove. Perhaps it doesn't work as well with the 4 cylinder engine with AT ?

It isn't as intuitive. For a manual, at a lengthy stop, you'll shove it in N so ASS will work nicely. Because the ASS timer is at 4s and it can't analyse the road and conditions, leaving the AT in D (which you do) has it going off an on in traffic or junctions which is annoying!

Agreed, it seems very smooth and non-instrusive wit my 335i AT. You notice it, but not enough to be a bother.

Pro
Drives/handles great
Tech stuff cool
Hk sound system

Cons
Leatherette looks ok but hot as hell

In neighborhood surrounded by m's and fancy 5's 7's my black base without xenonAEs looks kinda cheap (there is an undeniable status-symbol element to this whole bimmer thing)

Worst of all, in city with traffic and worlds worst drivers.... What's the point of having this thing.... Might just go back to Honda three yrs from now. Bought the car for the driving experience and not the look. Where I live only the look seems to matter more and racing to the next red light does not require the "ultimate driving machine."

Car is somewhat of a bust

Wow, brutally honest review. When you say the car looks "kinda cheap" compared to some fancier models, I think the word "cheap" is harsh but I get what you mean.

I've seen a few base line F30's on the road (black, silver, no Xenons, 17's...) and they definitely don't turn my head like I would hope a new BMW would.
Still, you have an F30 and I don't. I'd rather have a plain F30 than a Honda anyday.

I got the 335i and I am having loads of fun. I live on the beach where the most common cars are Bentley, Lambos and Ferrari's and I still catch people staring at my car. Valet who parks a wide range of high end cars comes to me and says wow your car is really nice.

The point of this car in traffic filled city is to be able maneuver around bad drivers and through traffic.

Yes, a little brutal however at this stage of ownership (about 1000miles) it is what I'm thinking. That said, to be a little less one sided I will add....

Pros
The ride quality is exactly what I want. Smoother than my old Audi however I still have a great sense of the road.

Acceleration is great. Though traffic blows, when I need to push by someone it is often quite easy, even in the upper gears (high end torque right?). If I down shift (6mt) it is even quicker.

Sound system is great, though having a great system in a car filled with road and vent noise is debatable.

Heads up display handy.

Customizability of idrive. I found the car's opinion on shift points kinda annoying (tell me when to shift? The audacity) so I just turn this feature off.

Cons
nav system. The head up display shows the street name, but the voice-prompts just gives you the distance.... " turn right in 400ft." The audi MMI would say, "In 400ft turn right on main st." Small thing but does make a difference if you really are unfamiliar with the area. The nav on my htc phone actually is better.

Clutch is a little high. Smooth, but high. I don't want it too low but right in the middle of the peddle would be best for ease of use and quick changes

Placement of nav screen, perfect for line of sight however in bright sunshine there can be some glare.

Otherwise, I've been on motorcycle riding websites looking for good open road and fun drives around the area. No luck yet. Next step would be paying for track time.

Another con: it's ridiculous that Sirius favorites don't audibly alert you. You have to be watching the display screen to be notified.

Really??? Just one of those issues would be a major annoyance for me, but all of them at once is a deal breaker on an expensive German car!

I hope that when BMW releases the F31 wagon in the US that all these issues will be resolved!

I already posted on this thread, but I thought I'd add some more things I don't see others talking about:

Pros:
1. Trunk opens completely when pushing the button.
2. Steering feel in Sport & Sport +
3. Double tap latch system to open the hood. I just think its cool.
4. My 2 year old son prefers my car over my wife's "old" 2010 car, so I win at something at home.
5. Quiet ride.

Cons:
1. Very tiny mirrors on the driver and passenger visors.
2. Just ok A/C struggles with my black leather interior and 105F Texas summer.
3. Steering feel in Comfort & ECO Pro
4. Horn doesn't beep when double clicking the locks on the key fob.
5. Ride is a little too quiet for me (328i). I'll need to get an intake and exhaust to give it a little more of a rumble in full throttle.

Went with beige interior for the very reason of heat. Black looks nice but the Texas heat is just unreal.

Noise - I actually prefer the quiter ride, this car has just enough.

Steering - do you have the variable steering? I find that it does feel nicely tight at higher speeds and quick/easy at lower speeds. I do not have the sport susp and thus more body roll than yourself (regardless of drive setting) but the variable steering still seems to offer nice control/response.
