New Member and soon to be a new owner of a 330d xdrive Msport MB
Thought i'd join the forum and move over from baby bme, trading in my 118d e82 coupe sports plus edition for a nice upgrade to the 330d xdrive Msport in melbourne red. Just your basic spec but might be a bit marmite to some, 398M wheels, Mperformance front grille's and privacy glass. Been scheduled for build week 38 so not too long now and cant wait

Welcome! Relatively rare colour too for some reason.

I'm just excited to get it and got told by my dealer he hasn't sold a lot of the Melbourne reds, not been able to find one with the same wheel and Colour combo either so hopefully it's a bit unique

You will love the new car. Especially how quickly it can put the foreground behind you. The 6 cylinder engines are also very smooth. A great all round car. And definitely a rare colour. Health to drive and remember to post pics when you get it.

Welcome to the forum.
When I was playing with the configurator I noticed that 398s could be specified with non-RFTs. You might want to check whether that option is still available. Ride quality and grip would be much improved.

I had a long 'discussion' with BMW UK, online and telephone, when I wanted to to understand whether MPSS non-RFTs were a fully approved tyre. To cut a long story short, BMW gave directly contradictory advice - I got the impressions that it didn't know that MPSS non-RFTs were an option for factory build cars. The option might have been removed as a result of the confusion.

MR is a very good & rare colour.
I wish i stayed with my original colour rather than going for EB2. That said, i have gone for mineral grey on my next motor. |

Melbourne red is an amazing colour very deep and rich and the way it changes in the different light conditions is great
