I came from a '09 Jetta wagon. It was a choice between the V60 and GT. Loved the V60 R-Design, but the back was just too tight. Have you seen the new V90? I haven't lusted after a car like I have this one in many years. I'm hoping Volvo eventually brings out a Polestar model. Maybe for my 70th birthday in 2020 I'll get one.

My Jetta had the six speed manual and, while I'm partial to manuals (nearly all of my cars had manuals), I think I'm ready to move on. However, I wouldn't mind a used Boxster with a manual for sunny summer days.

I had the Volvo V60 T5 for a few weeks in Jan, and 1 week in Feb. Finally, Volvo decided that they could not fix it and gave me my money back. So now I'm shopping again, and thinking about the GT.
The V60 T5 had polestar, I loved that car.. I'm so bummed out. The car had a laundry list of cosmetic issues that could have been fixed, but it had a serious exhaust leak, made my family feel sick. It wasn't the new engine burn in smell.. Volvo kept trying to take up the rear hatch door. I asked them for an explanation of the problem in writing and they refused. What a shame. Buddy of mine has the GT, says great things about it. =) Last edited by ajdresner; 03-11-2016 at 08:09 PM.. |

I've been driving Volvo station wagons (745, 855, V70) for years when the kids were small. When that era were over I bought the 2.0T, first version of the V60 (~"T4.5" compared to today's models). Suitable size for me and my wife. V60 is really a nice car, I liked it a lot. When buying a new car I wanted something little bit more roomy and "higher" for easier entrance (hard to admit but I'm getting older). I were aiming for a XC60 (V70 too big) but then I just fell for the GT. GT is like a car between V60 and XC60, spacious enough for what we need. So now I'm back with BMW, my first car were a BMW518i -75 when I were 18 years old

Came from 2014 2.8 xDrive X1 M Sport to 2016 xDrive 335GT M Sport. Put on 48k trouble free miles in 32 months in the X1.
Needed more back seat room for the kids as now in their teens were getting tight in the back of the X1 - otherwise I would have probably kept it - loved the smaller body and the hydraulic steering of the X1. It was also fun to rev up that 4cyl turbo. The fact that the X1 was going out of warranty / maintenance also helped me to pull the trigger now. The 3GT feels more refined and has a much more comfortable ride. Obviously, the room and cargo space are amazing and the main reason I went with it - would have probably gone for a 4GC if back seat room was not an issue. Also the brakes are much better than what I was used to in the X1. I'm still in the honeymoon phase at 1,600 miles (aka - still tweaking the seating position) - and the steering feel is taking some getting used to. But Sport+ is heaven in the 335GT! (Yes, I've tried launch control ) |

Monday the 27th of June I'm going to trade in my Skoda Superb Combi 1.8 TSI Elegance Business Line, bought new in 2010, for one year old F34 320i.
Interior and boot space is a bit less but still more than sufficient. |

Welcome. Think you will notice a big difference between your new 330d GT and your old Qashqai
