Starting Production With a Surprise?

My car has entered production and I can see my options choices on the My BMW website.

I just noticed that it lists M Adaptive Suspension as included in the Sport Line? Is that right? I was wondering why I never saw that option in "Build Your Car" on the BMW USA website...

The BMW website tracking is often incorrect. I had a similar order, a 328i Sport line. It also listed M adaptive suspension initially, although I never ordered that option.

I would rely on your dealers order sheet for the correct options.

Garage List
The BMW tracking website is notorious for listing incorrect options etc. I know there were three incorrect items listed for my build, but when I picked it up, it was exactly the specs that I submitted to my dealer. So unfortunately for you, unless you ordered M adaptive suspension, you probably won't get it.

I didn't, and I don't find it necessary. I find it interesting, however, that it is listed like it's a standard part of the sport line.

I also saw that on my SportLine model. I'm pretty sure it's just a mistake. The SportLine DOES come with a sport suspension, but NOT the adaptive M suspension. The site should list sport suspension but instead is showing the adaptive M suspension, unless you actually ordered it of course.

You have to have a My BMW account (I had a 2008 335i before) and a production number or VIN.

It shows both.

Hmmmm...intriguing. Would be nice if we get a free upgrade, but I doubt it.

I have a sport model on order and it said the same thing. My dealer told me his tracking system shows my car exactly how it was ordered with no M suspension. He said the consumer tracker is not the best and can be up to or more than 48 hrs behind.

I tried the build option and after numerous problems decided it was basically worthless. Just get the order guide and pricing guide. It takes a little work to figure out all the cross references as to what you can/can't get with the various options/combinations but once you figure it out you will probably know more than the CA. I have found when the CA or Sale Manager learn that you have studied the details it a lot easier to negotiate and you will get a better deal.

My CA actually had me use Build Your Own to place my order.

Only the Adaptive M part differs.
