I disagree that their results are not impressive (unless by "impressive" you mean the highest claimed gains in the industry); they take a long time because they engineer their stuff well.

A claimed 401 tq. figure seems pretty impressive to me.

I think a couple things need to be considered. First, the f30 n55 tune may produce more power than the previous tune. Second, in regards to the 401 torque figure is that at the wheels or before the 12-15% drivetrain loss. Considering a stock f30 n55 dyno's at 305ish torque at the wheels and factoring the 12% drivetrain loss that puts the car somewhere around 350 torque. If the mppk adds 35lb ft of torque that puts it at 385. So dinans reported 401 torque figure is only slightly better than the mppk for twice the price. Does anyone have before and after dyno's for a dinan stage 2 n55? That's what I would like to see.

Not to hijack....but stock N55 torque is around 305 at the wheels?? Hmmm....maybe A) my PPK isn't truly installed properly....or B) the PPK is NOT as good as everyone's been saying.
My dyno torque wheel numbers were 295 lb-ft (on a Superflo) and 308 lb-ft (on a Dynojet).

Something wrong with my tune/car? FYI...dyno was done on a 70 degree day.

Measuring at the wheels will result in a lot of variances (based on tires, camber, how the shop straps the car down to the dyno, etc.)
And FWIW, Dinan measures at the axle, not the crank. So no need to factor-in drivetrain loss from their claims.

Dinan may be told by BMW to play it stupid so as not to stall any MPPK sales until the Dinan package comes out. BMW might as well pull out all their kits if word got out Dinan is releasing software-to-end-all software soon

I'd imagine this tune is going to be at least $1500 as to not intrude on BMW's MPPK.

That price would be less than what S2 cost for the E9x series, which was around $2K. Carrying that parallel warranty has a price.

Maybe the quoted dyno numbers I referenced were with mppk. Let me see if I can find the source. I'm still not convinced of the dinan figures either and would like to see before and after dyno's. I think the f30 dinan stage 2 will be $2k+

I don't get it, if they already have a tune for the N55 why isn't it compatible with the F30 and F32, and only compatible with E9X. The drive train and engine are both capable of handling that much torque and hp. C'mon Dinan crack the code, and lets get tuning, im too scared to use a piggyback.

To M-terkait's point they just released the Shockware for EDC cars which is flash loaded...... which means they have been able to bypass encryption.

Just a matter of dialing in the performance software now to perfect things and be able to back up those warranties

Can't wait!
