Got in an accident so time to upgrade!!

I got a 2015 428i GC and I got into a small front end accident. My brother has a body shop and my insurance is giving me the money to fix it. I saw a post about some dude in a 435i that converted most of his front side panels, bumper, hood, etc. to M4 stuff. Does that front end also fit on my 428i Grand Coupe. Sorry in advance for the ignorance I'm new to the BMW Modding world. I was a turbo volvo guy before, so I'm lost. Part lists would help immensely.

Thats great to look up part numbers. Thx! As far as fitment questions? Anyone with past experience. Is it a direct swap? Do all the bolts line up? I saw a previous post about something similar a while back, but I cant find it in the search.

You'd be better off using M-Sport parts that will fit for sure and won't bastardize your car. And it's Gran Coupe, by the way.

Why in the world would you want a 428i to look like an M4????

Edit nevermind, I see you're from Miami, it all makes sense now.

Someone did a 435 to M4 look. Maybe they have some tips, as the chassis and torment should be at least similar.

First 435 to M4 conversion/Stance wheels/LTMW/IPE exhaust http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1076018

Can't edit my post for some reason. Torment should be fitment. This was done on the coupe, so who knows how well it might work on the GC. :

A 4 series and an ///M4 don't share body panels although they look similar. ///M is an almost from scratch operation.

Beyond that, even the desire to do this is the ultimate in poseur behavior. This is sad. :

It's better if you contact your dealer and let him fix the front end accident fix for you. They are skilled and have proper instruments according to the models.

Are you implying that body shops not attached to a dealer are not "skilled"? I have a BMW certified body tech in my indie shop that would like to have a few words with you. LMAO

Not to mention many dealerships don't even have their own bodyshop.

The only "instruments" in question that are model (sort of) specific are jigs and racks for certain aluminum structures such as the front upper structures in the 5 series, and 7 series.

OP, swap the front end for the M-sport parts appropriate for the model you bought.....trying to clone it out to a M4 on the front end only will look....bad........

Cross reference the the 4 series and the 4gc part numbers on the front clip. If they are the same, then the M4 front clip should bolt right up, just like it did on the 4 series.

Personally, I like the m4 front end. I have no issue with conversion so long as you do not apply m4 badges. Good luck and I hope you post pictures of the process.

The rest of the car will look very awkward. The side panels and rear are all very different. So if you just change the front end, you'd have this very aggressive front end and very plain side and rear.

Your car will look like it's suffering from a severe identity crisis.

Hell the same thing would happen if you tried using an M-Sport bumper.

the idea is great if thats what you want.....but if you're going to do it, you should commit....change the front and rear to make it match.

another reason im saying you should do that is because the M4 has a wider body, the front is going to be wide and the rear is going to be skinny if you dont change it. Also people will look at you and give you shitty comments

Who cares...? chances are no one on this board will ever even see your car. If you like it, do it.

Yes because this looks hideous and doesn't match the rest of the car

Would it look like the new c63 AMG?

Anyways IMO it requires a really good eye to tell the difference between the rear fenders of the F32 and the F82 (note this does not apply to the F80 and F30). Granted yes we all can tell the difference but that's because we eat our meal and just look at our cars all day (hence why we're here). To the regular car guy (not normal people their oblivious to everything car related) it's sort of hard to spot.
