I doubt you're going to purchase them from the same store as me, since I'm in Europe, but you can get them from getbmwparts in the US. https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462 https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462 Be sure to check the version for the gearbox that you have (AT / SAT) Quote:
I might look in to it - what are their pros and cons?

Pro: wider track Con: wider track Wider track is better for cornering ability. Wider track also means that as a driver, you have to keep in mind your tires are about half an inch extented out When parking, risk of rubbing the curb, depending on how long you have been driving the car and if you are used to the car original dimensions. But half inch is not that significant for most people.. Overall, id say spacers are all pro no con |

But here's the same part on the getbmwparts site: https://www.getbmwparts.com/partloca...catalogid=4462 I left the diffusor unpainted, which I think looks better than the painted one. I don't really know what to say about the front splitter... I don't think it blends really well with EBII. Dunno what to say. It looks muuuch better on AW or on a dark color.

Here's the store: http://www.leebmann24.de/ You can get back the German VAT as well (so all prices are effetively -10%) They ship relatively fast and they have nice support over the phone.

I honestly don't remember exactly. I had the screw, but I think threw it away. I'll check to see if I find it tomorrow just in case.

How about lowering springs or wheels?
By the way, are those actual air vents in the rear diffuser or is that closed off textured plastic? I respect the time and effort you put into your car; for my preference, I like the stock part better |

Really gorgeous car StormLV ! I just took delivery a couple of weeks ago of my Mineral Gray 435ix Gran Coupe M-Sport package. I opted for the blacked out grille and the Ferric Grey wheels w/M-Sport brakes, DHP, black chrome exhaust tips, etc. I think your car will look a lot cleaner and meaner without the rear deck lip/spoiler. I drove an E-Blue 435 like yours for awhile and it had the lip on the rear deck and after looking at it for a bit, decided it detracted from the lines of the car. Just personal taste I guess. I do like the rear diffuser. Your car is really sweet !! Great job !

I don't know about lowering the car... My biggest concern is hitting stuff with my front lip. I'm already stressed when entering some of the parkings in Geneva. Then again the xDrive is 10mm higher than the RWD so, I should probably be fine, height wise. Concerning xDrive, is there any reason why I should not lower the car? Why did BMW make it 10mm higher in the first place? I thought it had to do with the correct position of axle assembly relative to the xdrive system. Regarding the rear diffuser, those are real actual air vents Quote:

For reference' I believe the only 10mm hub centric wheel spacers which fit are the Burger Tuning spacers. Otherwise, you have to fit 12mm front, 15mm rear. H&R and Eibach do these in these sizes.
I have the ACS tune, and, if you have the space to 'stretch the legs' on your car, I assure you it's worth it, especially for the warranty support. I also have a custom axle back rear exhaust system. I have removed the silencer because it is pointless on a diesel car especially with so much emissions stuff up front which quietens it anyway. So I have an Akropovic tailpipe and straight through 3" exhaust now which has a lovely deep bass to it, and helps improve throttle pickup as the turbos have reduced back pressure on them so spool up quicker. Incidentally, this is the same solution that Alpina employs. I am considering ditching the catalystic converter. Removal of the DPF is simply not a practical option any more. Next on the cards will be a Wagner Tuning intercooler which will complement the ACS pcm and exhaust nicely. The car wil achieve over 400bhp and over or around 700nm of torque. Expect 4 seconds or less to 100kph. Currently mine sits at around 4.1/ 4.2. Dumping the RFT tyres for Michein Pilot Super Sports will improve grip, handling, reduce noise and the lower tyre weight will reduce unsrung weight, and so improve handling again. Moving to forged wheels will only enhance this further. I have the ACS springs which greatly improve ride and stance But they don't resolve the pitching in on turn in issue. So the answer is stronger anti-roll bars/ sway bars. H&R can supply these for xDrive now. We have an internationally trading company in the UK which can supply many upgraded goodies for you: www.ca-int.co.uk |
