The noises have come back ,very irritating! and this is after a second thorough wash.
The manual says specifically to NOT use silicone-based products for the seals. I wonder if this is the source of the problem in the first place. I am going to speak to my dealer about it.

So I ended up putting Gummi Pflege on the seals and it reduced the noise a little but still rather annoying. Finally took it into the dealer today and took one of the techs for a test drive. He heard it as soon as we went out of the driveway and continued to hear it on our short test drive. Hopefully it is fixed when I get the car back this afternoon. He said he thinks I am onto the right idea that it is the seals but said they would have to check with "The Germans" to know what to do. I will keep you up to date as the saga unfolds.

Picked car up from dealer this afternoon. No more door noises. They applied a treatment to the felt seals. Suggest a visit to your dealer if you are experiencing this noise. Finally I can truly enjoy the car without the constant noise annoying me.
