TPMS sensors

I've just put my winter alloys on my car with some new TPMS sensor's fitted in them (not genuine BMW but supposed to be the right ones for the car) now the car is not reading them. Do I need to get something on the car reset by BMW ??

You must have the wrong sensors if you can't reset them in the I-Drive system.

Unhappy

The sensors I bought were listed as for a 3 series F3X before I bought them also checked the details on the sensor with other sellers listing them for the F3X and the details all matched

I've just bought some winter wheels and tyres, and asked for the sensors. The guy at alloywheels said that they need to be BMW originals to work.
Not sure how accurate that is, but I understand you do need to reset the reading app.

Just been on a sight call TPMS warehouse that sell aftermarket sensors and the one I have fitted are the ones they say fit my car (they ask for your reg) will have to check the manual to see how it says to do the reset. I've tried resetting via the i drive but no good just says sensors failed just my luck

I would take the vehicle back to the shop that installed the sensors. I just put my winter wheels on yesterday with new sensors and I was able to reset them in the I-Drive system within the Vehicle Status sub menu. To perform the calibration, the vehicle must be moving.

I am going through the same thing right now. Either you have huf or vdo and you can find out which one is correct by going to the tpms forum dot com. Go to the BMW section and the first sticky has pictures to tell what you have and what you need. I want to thank the forum members for helping me and want to pass on what I learned. My sensors are in the mail. Good luck.

Not quite true, you must be stationary to instigate the calibration, which it then calculates while you are driving.

Bought my new sensors from Lorcan and ATS fitted them. Reset in iDrive in seconds, very easy. Suggest OP's sensors don't work as advertised with the F3x.

I think I will have to go back to the tyre place who fitted them and ask them to break the seal on the wheel and check they have fitted them correctly, as the sensors (made by i-sensor) do look to be correct ones going by the part number that was on them.
