Arranging albums into folders
I can't seem to do this! All my tracks are in a "list" format. Is there a way to create folders?

I just create folders when i am on my computer, copying files to usb drive.
That way, i will see "usb disk #", and list of folders when i click on that usb folder after i store them into hard drive in my car. So you might need to go back to your computer and start over. Well, at least i'd do that. I am a beginner at idrive too, so if someone has better idea i'd like to hear. |

I'm no expert but I don't believe you can through idrive. The system isn't too customize-able. I also hate that you can't add to whats currently on the drive, you have to upload your whole playlist everytime

Ok so after I allocated an hour for mission complete, I managed to do it. Pretty easy actually. First step, load your USB stick one album at a time, then upload into car, then rename. Each time you upload into the car it saves it as one folder.
Use the search function to find folders. Yay all my music easily accessible in one place!

Nonetheless, I believe the manual describes the process that seemingly worked for you... But damn if I have been able to make it happen! Personally I manage my playlists in iTunes, and I haven't found a better, more efficient method of keeping my iTunes "Smart Playlists" up to date than just syncing my iPhones to iTunes after I purchase music.

I can't make iTunes stuff to be read using the correct track number, instead all songs are being read sequentially sorted by name. Am I the only one with this issue?

Albums in folders
I created a folder called MUSIC in my USB, and from that folder I added subfolders for each artist.
When you import music to Idrive, all folders are copied correctly, so when you search for your music, it will show MUSIC, then your subfolders. Is that what you needed ? |
