That's the one. It's going to take a bit of time to work out the mappings but it looks possible.
I need your intWert values from the following below: (Should be 16 bits long e.g. initwert = 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00) 3005 Leuchtmittelmatrix 1, F8 Tagfahrlicht (daytime running light) Standlicht Modus 1 3006 Leuchtmittelmatrix 2, F8 Blinken

Is there something I can send over to you that might make this easier to compare or work out?
If this is going to be a ballache and you don't have the time to waste on it then its cool I'm trying to figure out why it looks like the left hand headlights don't ever seem to light up like the right hand ones do, on full beam. But in terms of lighting up the road ahead its not possible to see the difference strangely. If we can manage to achieve this then I'll get my friend Halsifer to update the super cheat cheat with it all

If you could send me your ncd file for the cafd_00001083_035_000_002.
You won't be able to upload here unless you add .pdf or something. Or upload it on to dropbox or something and PM the link to me, that would be great.

jaddie I think I've worked it out and I've PM'd you the new settings.
I'm not posting them publicly yet until I know they work.

* SOLVED FOR F32 and F36 4 series With Adaptive LED *
First of all I need to say a big thanks to jaddie as he allowed his car to the the guinea pig for this mod.
Now the 4 series with adaptive is slightly different. They don't have two FLE's but instead have two TMS modules. This is from the adaptive LED used on the older 5 and 6 series. Within the TMS modules there is a similar setup to control the LED modules of the indicator, the orange side markers (US Cars Only), the eyebrow's and the DRL rings for example: 3005 Leuchtmittelmatrix 1, F8 Tagfahrlicht (daytime running light) It seems that the 16bit sequence is actually split into 4 groups of 4 00 04 00 00 00 04 00 00 64 03 00 00 64 23 00 00 The set in red controls the indicator The set in magenta controls the little yellow side markers on US cars only The set in blue controls the Eyebrow and.. The set is green control the DRL rings The first HEX byte in each group controls the brightness. 00 = 0% 64 = 100% and I believe the second byte controls the priority over other lights. The other two I'm not sure but I think it may be TimeOn and TimeOff as with mine, where the welcome lights dim in and out. To make the DRL's dim when the turn signals are on you need to change (EU cars only at the moment) TMS > 3006 Leuchtmittelmatrix 2, F8 Blinken To the following settings: inWerte=64, 02, 00, 00, 00, 0F, 00, 00, 2B, 01, 00, 00, 2B, 01, 00, 00 There are issues over the eyebrow dimming too much but that can be changed by altering bit 9 (or the first bit of the third group of four) Remember to keep within a valid HEX range of 00 = 0% to 64 = 100% You will need to change these values in both TMS modules with the following CAFD: cafd_00001082_0XX_000_00X. cafd_00001083_0XX_000_00X. Unlike the F30 LCI they have different numbers. Enjoy

It is a different car, but BMW' share many features so hope you are fine with me asking. I have an F20 LCI with LED headlights (non adaptive) and want to enable the amber daytime running lights. It is an European car, so it is not enabled by default. I found a way somehow to enable this, but it causes flickering because it simply buts 3.6, 6 or 9 Volts for example on the LED. Could somebody that has an idea advice what I should enable/code? I am using ESYS for coding.

It may be possible but the lights / DRL are controlled by the FEM on a pre LCI and in a completely different way to that described in this thread. It just needs someone with the time and inclination to work their way through the coding.

I can confirm this MOD works on the LCI1 F80 with TMS Modules. The behavior on native equipped cars is somewhat different. The dim activation on native equipped cars when engaging the signal lights is instantaneous but the disengagement usually takes effect .5 of a seconds later after the blinker has been deactivated. This mod is instantaneous all around. I will later try this mod on my LCI X3 and see if it works there as well

Also... both DRL dims when using the hazard lights. Does any one know how to manipulate the brightness of the DRL's when dimmed? i would like to have them with little more brightness when using the turn signals as you can barely see them in pure sun light...

Which type are you looking at TMS or FLE?

They are in 4 groups of for and within those groups the first pair is HEX code for the brightness. At present it's dimmed to HEX 2B which = 43% try any higher HEX value up to 90% = 5A. The nearer you get to 100% (64) will start to be indeterminable from 100%

Just want to chime in with what I have found to be a special case in terms of figuring this out.
I have been chasing my tail to get my angel eyes at 100% with dipped beams, and finally discovered that since I have LED angel eyes & bi-xenon, I have TMS modules & an FRM. Once I got that solved, I remembered this thread. My special case is this: Since the only LEDs in the front controlled by the TMS module are the angel eyes, my default looks a little different (zeroed out for eyebrows, indicators, and sidemarkers since I don't have any of those). In the end I just changed the 4th and 3rd last bits to 28 and 01 respectively and my angel eyes dip to 40% when I turn on my indicator. Thanks to stu14t and everyone who helped track this down. There's nothing cooler than having a vehicle that is truly your own. |

It should be possible and everything in the pre-lci is controlled in the FEM module.
It will take some time to learn how to do it. I had to use the work of others to find out how to do this and I had my own car to experiment on too.
