I'm an August 2013 build MY2014 too... Where do you see that the cutoff is 9/13?

The range for the 3 series is 3/13/13-4/12/14.

My production date is 4/14. How do you know the exact day?

Wondering the same. Is the cutoff in one of the documents? I didn't see it on the first one lol.

I think mines an 11/13 build.

It seems as if it does not affect models with production dates later than March or April 2014 (based off associated PDFs).

I'm trying to figure out what changed to make this specific batch of fuel pumps bad. Crappy quality control or a change in design?

Well, my new baby is only 2 weeks old and she already has a recall....

Wonder how long it will take to get my appointment set up.

First ones in should report back here on how long the fix took. Did you get a loaner, etc?

Did it take a bogus software update, a 60 Minutes story and a lawsuit to get them to act this time, or are they improving?

As an 07 335 owner, I wish you the best of luck getting it sorted out soon, or at least quicker than the M revisions it took us.

Looks like a supplier issue. Not a big deal IMO.

Run your vin through a BMW vin decoder and it will tell you the exact build date

Ouch!

I think BMW had enough recalls with fuel pumps already!

Who is this supplier!

It's not a BMW design, it's with the supplier - Bosch. Some Nissan's have the same problem with the same part and they have their own recall as well.

Bosch is a good supplier but they seem to suck at fuel pumps, spark plugs and DMTL modules.

9/14 build here. I'm sure they're doing this just as a precaution and that there have been very few, if any, failures. Just be glad BMW stepped up to plate and addressed a potentially dangerous issue, unlike some other car manufacturers.

Its a Bosch issue, not BMW.
Totally unrelated to the E90 problems years ago.

Multiple manufacturers are affected, so far BMW and Nissan have issued recalls and more may follow,

No more BMW for me thankfully

Bad fuel pumps, turbos, etc. on my 135i that I sold years ago. Nadda an issue with my NA 5.0 S550.
