Where was your F30 built?
Given the mention of buzz, squeaks, and rattles in some cars, but not all, I wonder if there is a plant specific issue, or design flaw causing such noises. Where was yours built? (Its on the monroney.)

Dingolfing does not Built F30
I dont believe Rosslyns first shipment would have reached the USA yet as they only started producing late last month. It may not even have left the port yet. Regensburg only came online on 1 March 2012 for the F30 customer cars. I would say 99% of US cars are currently from Munich Rosslyn has probably only delivered customer cars to South Africa and Australia

There certainly are quite a few F30s around town now. I took one out for a 1 hr test drive a couple of weeks ago. Probably came from the same plant that brought you - no, me, the wonderful E90.

How do you find out where it's made? Mine's on order but I can't find anything about the production site in my Vehicle Sale Agreement with BMW's Singapore distributor.
Anyway, for the next few months, it's all academic to me...despite ordering it (exactly!) a month ago, it doesn't go in to production until May, and I'll only be able to collect it in July!! Eons away, sigh. |

This might help as well
edit: btw, just in case, the above is a bit dated. If you have a 'F', it's also München

Will they be producing the 335i in South Africa for the North American market or will they keep it 328i only like the E46?
