I posted this already on the Northwest Bimmerpost Facebook page for some tips. But yeah, got ticketed for "no front license plate" after school (UW Tacoma), while I left my parked car to go eat. Didn't even know this could happen. Thought this only happens while in traffic and the popo gets ya. Any tips? Thanks!

Same thing happened to me in LA but it was only $25 bucks. Now I just leave the plate on the dashboard if I'm parked on the street.

I wonder if I can get away with having it on the dash... I'll try it next time. Thanks for the tip. Guess I'll go pay the $86, since I doubt I'll be able to make the court appearance. Thought I could mitigate by writing, but there isn't an option for that.

Front plate requirements are BS. I'll pay the first 1 or 2 tickets and eat the cost and make a decision on the third.

Where is the No Front Plate Lobby when you need them? I wish we had people in government smart enough not to enact front plate laws since it benefits no one but government.

Meter maids all over the Puget Sound are giving no front plate tickets. It is now a primary offense and you can be stopped for it. It is time to put your front plate on.

Yup that's what I pay every month or so on tickets. I'm on my worst behavior (Drake reference)

Actually, they aren't BS in WA state. The automatic toll readers need them; it's only $0.25 more than having a transponder.

I thought the new toll readers got you first via transponder, and second via plate - front and back. In which case it is not required, just nice to have.
