At the end of the day, BMW is a business and they probably care more about sales/money than consumer satisfaction. I wish the Digital Cluster was an individual option, though!
I was looking forward to Dynamic Digital Instrument Cluster too. But I had to choose Premium Package and not the Executive Package. I can't have both in my budget.

Variable Sport Steering for 3 series GT

With the package reshuffling, I don't see Variable sport steering (previously part of the dynamic handling package which is no longer offered). I only see the M adaptive suspension.

Does anyone know if it been combined with something else or now standard? I can't imagine they dropped it. It's not listed as a standard feature.

It's part of Track Handling Package.

Noticed that style 704M wheels lists front wheels at 19x8" but has 255/40/R19 tire... that seems wide for front?? I'm assuming a typo but odd it would have made it this far?? Usually it's a 225/40/R19 I thought.

Same wheel on 4 series with same tire size on the front

My 2018 340i will have these wheels and tires. The other interesting thing is the increased top speed limit or 840 is not listed on the order.
My car is currently on a ship scheduled arrive on July 24 at the port

Yeah I noticed another thread dedicated to the 704M wheels and the lack of '840 top speed increase' but no resolution yet.

On the tire size, I can't imagine anyone, let alone BMW, wrapping an 8" wheel in 255's. Then again, I'm not that knowledgeable on the matter so maybe there's another reason behind it ???

To confuse it more, I've also seen some pictures on here of 2018 440i's with the 704M and the fronts show 225/40...

Either way, my 340i is also on order and the RFTs are coming off as soon as I can drive it to my mechanic...

I started that thread about the increased top speed limiter/840. Never got a resolution from BMW. I guess we will see what size tires show up on my car
I think the orbit grey 704M wheel will look real nice with Mineral Gray that I ordered

The 704M has ferric grey and orbit grey on the 440. The ferric use 225 front and the orbit grey is 255 front on the 440

99.999% chance its just a typo, would make no sense for them to change their tire width strategy for just one wheel in the option catalog.

It even still says "mixed" tires which is BMW speak for staggered width

Good point. Nobody at the dealership could explain it. They contacted BMW with no answer back

I still can't figure out the lack of 840 on the build order that was generated. Very odd

I'm never going over 135 but still odd

Dealers tend to know the least of all. The best source for information is emailing BMW genius. If they don't have an answer no one at bmwusa has noticed yet.

The other thing to remember is the order guides are not really supposed to be customer facing so they are probably less sensitive to typos in the copy. Not saying it's top secret material but the intent is for dealer staff

It has to be a typo... there is just no way it's a 255 on the front of that one specific wheel set and none of the other 19" wheels.

Also nealh good choice on the mineral grey and 704M... exactly what I ordered. What interior did you go with? I went black dakota with oyster highlights and aluminum dark carbon.

My current 428i is Estoril blue with black Dakota w/blue stitch and hexagonal trim with blue.

So I decided to change it up.

Mineral Grey with anthracite wood and Oyster Dakota. Also ordered the black kidney grille and carbon fiber spoiler

By the way did your order have 840 on it?

840 didn't show up on my order sheet either which is sort of a bummer... although as you mentioned I probably won't be exceeding 135mph

Your interior choice was what I started with then I decided to be "different"

The odd thing on 840 is the code to remove the top speed limit increase is not there either and 840 is part of the m sport.

The orbit grey 704M on the 4series get 840. It's truly nutty with the 3 series. Just might not be showing due to early order but we could still get it???

Even though they fall under the same "genius" banner, contacting the corporate group at BMWNA is usually much fruitful than the dealership genius staff. they are not one in the same in terms of available information.

i know! what's up with that? i started looking at a 2017 about a month ago and only recently learned they can't build them anymore despite 2017 models still being featured on bmw.ca. reading through the forums it seems like they haven't been making them for a while... probably trying to push what 2017s they still have on the lots but there are literally no RWD 6MT in Canada and that's all i'd be interested in. dealers are telling me they can order 2018s but they're still not up on the website.

As xlover said, now. I used the ordering guide to build the car I wanted and passed the information to my local dealer. CA verified what I wanted and placed the order (on 8/7), went into production about a week later and will finish production this Thursday (8/24). Dealer had allocations, South Africa build.

My first BMW, super stoked - 340i xDrive - EBII, loaded... with 6WB digital dash.

Good luck with your build and order!
