And again - Another BASE Stereo Thread
HI, I am looking for some advice that is probably so easy to answer I will feel foolish one someone points out my dumbness.
I have the F31 with a BASE System and have purchased the Technic PNP loom set, and will be pairing it up with the JVC KS-DR1004D 4 channel amp My issue is how the Technic loom kit hangs together. I'll start with the under seat wiring to the sub. 4 wire female plug coming from the head unit that feeds into the mail socket on the underfloor sub. Am I right in assuming that the door spears are then feed from the 2 outer wires of this connector? Last edited by Kiwi328i; 03-26-2023 at 02:46 PM.. |

Part 2 - the Technics Loom
In my head this was easy when I purchased this...the concept was easy. You take the output from the HU, take it to the amp....amplify it and bring a new cable back to the sub/fronts.
As per the image 2 Wire - Part A - this is amplified signal from the amp back to the sub and uses the canter wires 4 Wire - Part B - Does this feed from HU loom back to the amp using the 2 center wires as the source and the outer wires will then be feed from the amp to feed the doors on the same loom 2 Wire - Pact C - I have no idea what this could be for 2 Wire - Part D - I can only assume this is for a tweeter in the door for a component, otherwise I have no idea what it could be for also. Any help would be appreciated guys Thanks in advance |

So my assumptions on how the loom works is correct - yes the doors will be fed from the amp speratly. 1 CH/ Left Floor, 1 CH Left Door - 1 CH Right Floor, and 1 CH Right Door What Part C and D do I have no idea Ray |

A, one channel from you amp to your woofer
B one channels from amp to your door speaker and connect to blue woofer connector. And repeat on other side of car D , Use this if you put aftermarket speakers into doors as it clips into the door speaker plug. C is used if you put an after market woofer under your seats On the jvc set the low pass filter A for 150 and HPF for B also at 150 so you send bass frequencies to the underset woofer and mids and highs to the door speaker. |

I know that's how they're factory wired. My point is that when using an amp they shouldn't be.

So either be careful with the volume or get something like a high level to rca converter per channel. https://www.trademe.co.nz/trade-me-m...4049708661.htm Or https://www.jaycar.co.nz/speaker-hig...erter/p/AA0482 |
