OBD dongles/ scan tools. What are you using??
I ran a few obd port dongles through wifi/ Bluetooth on past vehicles and found them useful to monitor errors and make adjustments.

I use ProTool with an MHD wifi adapter (the black one).
Happy with it, I once had an issue with my car, while registering a new battery. I received an efficient support (problem solved) in a timely manner. |

Got a simple ELM327 Bluetooth OBD reader, which is sufficient for simple OBD reading especially on my older E46, haven't tested it on my f32 though.
Might upgrade to something more advanced. |

I was thinking about buying one for enabling daytime running lights.
Has anyone done that with any OBD? I don’t know why but it seems that this option here in Japan is blocked for some reason. |

Bimmercode is software. Google it. I use a Veepeak OBD Check BLE Bluetooth dongle. Bimmercode usually has a discount coupon on their site for the Veepeak.

I’m gonna check it out. I think I remember searching for something like that before. The software is a paid one, right?

Also, can you name some other interesting things that an OBD and the app can do? I basically want it for aesthetics.

Bimmercode is what I have used to make adjustments to the lights and all that.
CEL errors, I have used a cheap WiFi dongle called BAFX Products. I used it to find my P02420 error, which led me to buying MHD and will provide the ability to check errors in itself. |
