Not convinced of dealers diagnosis/looking for workaround

Hey guys I have F33/2017 430i convertible with the HK system. Last november I lost all sound upon start and it remained that way for about a month until 1 day it started working again but terribly. The front speakers(tweeters and mids) were crackling like they were blown or had terrible connections.

I took it in for inspection and at first the diagnosis of blown speakers was made so they were replaced.. well didn't fix it. Next came you need a new amp. Well that amp is on backorder since December with no ETA. I'm not fully convinced its the amp.

Currently I have all sound but the front speakers still crackle and distort and it will surge with acceleration(this is the odd part for me). If I get to say 50mph.. the crackle is consistent, but if I sharp accelerate to 70mph from 50 its a fast paced clicking crackle..

Any ideas on if this is indeed the amp or could it be something else?

Also, I've been instructed that I can't use an aftermarket amp(which I also don't believe). Can anyone advise on success aftermarket conversions.

Thanks ppl who are smarter than me

It's probably the amp. It can be replaced with the Match UP 10DSP, which is far superior.

I'd avoid dealers for audio advice. A local car audio shop with an 18 year old as manager would know more than a mechanic.

For post warranty audio work the dealer isn’t the best choice - agreed. I also recommend to replace the amp. At least you will get the results earlier.

How many speakers did the dealer replace? All of them?
