Production week?

Once you have a production number the dealer should know what your build week is even if it's weeks out correct? I should try to that info from him instead of calling the 800 number?

Yes, that's correct.

Further, once the vehicle is changed to Priority 1 SOLD, it generally bumps up a few production weeks.

According to this, the factory is closed from August 13-24 so things should open back up tomorrow.

Yep, yesterday my dealer said my production was moving along quicker than expected, i am now Production week 37, which someone told me was september 10th
so i expect the car to be done with production by the 20th, on a boat a few days later, 2 weeks at sea, probably be state side by october 14th, at my dealer no later than october 20th.

I have a delivery date of october 15 the latest! So I should go into production this week! I asked my dealer for my production week and he has not provided it. His customer service sucks and I will tell him this when I go get my car. All I got from him was a great deal! Which I guess makes up for it.

i am in same boat, waiting for car to enter production. for those who have been given estimated dates of delivery at what point of the process were you given these and did you get it from your CA?

Yea, i'd be interested in knowing the production date, also, dont even deal with the CA, just call the sales manager, they have all that info and your CA would just be asking him too...cut out the middle man

I would think once it gets on a boat...but im not sure.

I didnt want to go to the sales manager yet, wanted to give this guy the benefit of the doubt! If my car does not go into production this coming week I could not see his October delivery date. If by sept 7 I'm still not in production, my delivery date will get pushed back.

I got my estimated production week (#37 -- Sep 10) when I got my production number. The manager said that delivery should be expected (east coast) by the 2nd half of October the latest.

Sounds good. I have little patience for these CA's.

One guy i used a while back, i loved. Great guy, super laid back, i know more than the avg customer like most of here and i cant stand a CA that feels like they need o hold my hand through the buying process. He left like 5 years ago.

Then i had another guy who i liked great guy, talkative but he wasn't a pain in my ass. He just retired recently, i was pissed lol.

Now i am working with the guy that was ^his partner at the dealer(the CA's work in teams of 2 or something like that) anyways this new guy is nice but treats me like i am 45year old widow who doesn't know how to unlock the car doors

I mean the first thing he does when we get in the car for test drive is set the mph limit at 80

Anyways, i now just deal with the sales manager, super nice guy. I use the CA when i need something simple answered or a message relayed.

^i am week 37production as well, we will probably be on the same boat.

Are you dealing with Pines BMW? When did you order? I ordered my 335i m sport on 8/20. I got the production # from my CA the same day and he said they were changing a car that was already allocated. I just want to get an idea timewise.

Will be calling them tomorow to see if they have a Production date on it.

Yea, im working with pines. Got my order in right around the same time. production week 37...we should keep in touch, we will probably be on the same boat and pick up at the same time. what are the specs on the 335 you got?

Nice setup! Are the grills and exhaust dealer installed?

Yea so I got week 37 but he claims it can be any minute between then and now. Which means my delivery is prob going to be second half of October now. I'm east coast also NY dealer.

My M-Sport is finally being finished off on Thursday. What a long wait, just to be informed that my car has finally been built. Now hoping for a quick turn around to Durban dock & straight onto a ship.

Still would be an October delivery.

I got email for CA and i was left to decipher, in bottom right it says confirmed prod. Yr/Mo/Wk and next to it it has 2012/09/36. Does that make me a production week 36? If so, does anybody the date for that? Does production week mean every car starts on a monday?
