I have had a 6 spd M3 for 4 years and I won't miss it.

The problem is for urban driving it's just never ending. There are no easy drives.

A 6 spd is a great weekender but for a dd car I think it's time is drawing to a close. There will be a time in NA that manuals will not be offered.

I agree that the days of manual shifting is coming to an end but i live in the burbs and I don't drive in rush hour bumper to bumper traffic. I'm sure when my four lease is up it'll will be very hard to find a new car with manual tranny.

I am newbie here and looking to purchase the 2013 328xi in toronto.

I'm interested on M sport pkg. Since I know we can pay $400 special order fee plus the cost of the package on the 328i. But what about on 328xi? Dose it available to order?

I went to one GTA dealer today and test drove the 328xi 8sp auto. It's very beautiful car and solid ride. So, the SA show me the option list to narrow down the option then I start ask him about the M sport pkg availability. Then he said there no such thing to ordre even on 328i with the special order fees. I remember someone here has order the 328i with M sport pkg but not 328xi.

So, can anyone could give me an answer is there an option I can order on 328xi?

anyone feel the wind noise at speed 110~120km/h? its quite annoying if i dont have the music on

Unless you're willing to pay close to $4000 to special order it...

I dont know what the real conditions are, but I know a person who wanted to order the M Sport Package in Quebec and he was quoted $4000 plus to get it special ordered...

No...the $4000+ is the total price. This includes the $400 special order fee and the M Sport Package price.

I was very keen on ordering a F31, until I realized that the only version offered in Canada would be the 328Xi. This wagon will weigh approximately 300 lbs more then a 328i RWD sedan. A 4 cylinder-powered Xdrive wagon that would burn more fuel than a 335i RWD sedan and would be a lot less fun to drive is of no interest to me. Nor is it likely that any M Sport version will be offered for North America.

It seems odd to me that BMW will only be bringing in one version of the wagon: no manual transmission, no 6 cylinders - neither gas nor diesel, and no RWD. If BMW wants the F31 to achieve sales success in Canada, why restrict it to one version only ????

The F31 of my dreams would be the RWD 330d M Sport. But sadly, there doesn't appear to be any new 6 cylinder diesels coming to North America, at least for the 3 Series.

Mine did.

Solution:

1. if wind noise is at around 60km/h, it's the windshield seal. I had that replaced by the dealer and the noise was gone but then it brought me to the next point:
2. i had wind noise is at around 100-120km/h, brought it to dealer again, and they said it was the "moonroof" programming. They reset it, and upgraded the software to make the roof close properly.

Now at 100-120km/h, MOST of the wind noise is gone. I can still hear it but I chose to forego it because it'd prolly give me high blood pressure down the road.

I think here is the breakdown the $4000 if I want to have the m sport pkg in Canada.
Sport line $1500
Special order fee $400
M sport pkg $2300

Not sure BMW Canada will take the order since no dealer confirm it until I made the purchase. I still think this is the right move to order everything from factory (if i can)rather than retrofit which will cost more later. Therefore, I will go to the dealership in couple days to place my order to see what will come out.

I hope the M sport pkg will looks good on the 328xi with Mineral White/Apline White. Hope my wife will love it for her bday.

I have done a little research and found out that I can order the 335xi with M sport pkg without hassle. Since not that much different on price if I add up the option on 328xi. It may save the trouble that go with 335xi which some options are already standard.

Btw, how do you like your 335i engine? What do you rate it over N20? I'm sure both are good engine and won't go wrong with either one. But just want to know if the 335i is something new like the N20. Sorry that I am not a BMW fans since I haven't own one for long time. The last BMW I had was the 1 gen X5 which almost got me kill on hwy.

So I am not too familiar the BMW new engine and technology.

It will look good....but you're buying a M sport model for your wife? Didn't know "sport" anything mattered to chicks.

My wife drives a $55,000 "sporty" car like it's a 1995 Buick. Slow, ridiculously overcautious, etc...she should be in the '02 ES, I should be in the IS....but no Sirius. Can't live without Stern and NFL Radio

I am absolutely agree with you. You know some mid 30 women whom doesn't drive fast. They keep their license clean doesn't proof their skill but good record. Those "sporty" car just makes them feel "sporty","young" and fashions. Thanks for the BMW marketing department.

Btw, I have no offense to any lady drivers and my opinion are not represent of all husbands. But trust me. It's true.
