M Sport Steering Wheel - Controls

Does the M Sport Steering wheel have fewer functional controls than the standard sport wheel?

99% sure it has the same functionality, but the wheel design and buttons are different obviously.

It's the same, except for the leather and the plastic trim.

Unless the car is a M car, it would have an additional 2 M buttons~

My m sport does not have a "mode" button to switch between audio sources (iPod/radio/CD). I also have no idea if you can fast forward a track with steering wheel controls.

Do you have the Walmart version? I have an MSport. There is a big button titled mode on the right hand side.

FF and rewind are not available on the steering wheel.

MSPORT car but no auto head lights and auto air conditioning. What else BMW not added for your market? In my country only basic versions are in such ...

You can press the wheel AND the metal buttons on both sides of the steering wheel.

Speaking of the new steering wheel on the F30s, I'm super annoyed that they moved the volume up/down buttons to the right side of the wheel instead of the left like it was on my E82. I often drive w/ my right hand on the 6MT shifter and always appreciated having the controls on the steering wheel for my left hand. Now, I might as well just reach up for the volume knob since I have to move my right hand anyway. Why put them so close to the actual knob??

I agree, but you should drive with two hands on the wheel at all times for potential evasive maneuvers. You'll get used to the buttons.

Put your thumb ONTOP of the MODE lettering and press it....

Pressing the spinning wheel only selects what song you want within a mode.

You did push the lettering which states Mode, correct? When you press Mode, it cycles through iPod/radio/cd.

Mine and everyone else's looks exactly the same as yours. Push the metal lettering...

Yep. I didn't realize that was a button... Thanks for that! The manual shows the standard wheel.

I am in the same situation as you... this is super annoying !!

It doesn't make sense!

With my manual, when i actually drive with both hands (Cruising on long trips), i like to have my cruise control on the right side like all cars...

Volume should be on the left so that i can still control the music in town while shifting...

BMW got this wrong.
