Live photos of BMW Active Tourer Concept at BMW Welt
The other night I was at the BMW Welt and spotted BMW's Active Tourer Concept [official info thread] on display. The spot lights were turned off (since it was at night) so I just HAD to go back for a better look!
One of the things I found most striking about the Active Tourer Concept are the lines of the car - especially the car's hood and side body. I found the curves to be very sexy. The hood lines reminded me of the way the F30 hood (lines) flows. I really liked the way that there wasn't a flat panel to be found. It made me want to run my hand across it. I also liked the way the body lines flowed. Attention to detail was apparent to me in the way this car was designed. Enjoy, Dackel BMW's Active Tourer Concept on display at the Welt... One of the best designs BMW ever made.
The hood lines are much better than those of the F30. Now, if there would be a bigger RWD version (with a longer sedan hood) based on a 3 series, that would be something; much better than all those ever-recycled SUVs (I don't want to think on that pregnant "coupe" 3GT). |

For a rolling appliance, it looks pretty good......... if the side mirrors make it to production, I guarantee they will be snappin' off like twigs

I really hope all future BMWs are not plagued by the ugly horizontal hood lines that the F10, F30, etc. are saddled with. I had hoped they had leaned a lesson with the nasty trunk cut lines on the E60, but apparently not. This concept looks promising, and the upcoming F15 has been spared. I hope the F32 doesn't suffer the same fate as the F30 as it otherwise looks gorgeous!

BMW should buy Opel now and sell cars like this under that brand. This is probably a great car, but its not a BMW. Then they can earn money selling cars competing with vw, Toyota etc, and still let BMW be BMW.
