320 bms stage 1 setting +3 or +4psi

I installed my stage 1 and pretty happy with the gain so far. But that got me curious as to what +4 would be like. Anyone running that setting? Any risks? If not, why don't they just pre set it to +4psi?

I can't remember what thread I read this in but I thought I remembered someone saying 4psi on the 320i did work very well for them. Sorry I can't remember the details but I'm sure someone more experienced will jump in and help you out.

According to the Stage 1 installation instructions (last page), its states:

"Those running Stage1 with a 320i or 520i vehicle MAY increase the boost pressure from 3.0 to 4.0 using the Stage1 interface and BMS USB cable if they want a little extra power."

Does anyone have an idea where I can order from BMS in Europe? If I order directly at the BMS website I will have to pay a lot of tax.
Thanks!

I thought I read somewhere you have to use 93 octane or else you will get pinging. Since 93 is not common everywhere, that is probably why they have it defaulted on 3psi. Only the BP stations near where I live have it.

I believe that's true for the 328i. The 320i N20 has a much lower stock boost (I think) 7psi vs. 17psi.
