Best iPhone integration setup
Hi all, I have a car on order with Pro Navigation, music interface for mobile phone and extended Bluetooth. Is this the best set up to use the iphone and the music menu. I occasionally also listen to MOG on the iPhone.
I was told that this would also show the artwork on the screen. I think the two codes are 6NF,6NK Thanks. |

I'm not sure if u need pro nav for extended Blu tooth but the bigger screen is awesome. In your case it will be 3 parts.

Doesn't seem like it but should be clarified with dealer for those considering this option. According to options list, it looks like it's a stand alone option.

I have those three options in my build and I certainly get album art (see the pic below).
Interestingly, the iPhone integration doesn't provide album art in Bluetooth mode, the phone needs to be connected to the car either via a cable or the snap-in adapter and bluetooth audio needs to be turned off. Another interesting thing I noted is that when you run the Pro Nav in split screen mode with album art displayed, the song title doesn't come up on the display.

Yeah, apparently the Australian Government doesn't like the idea of us controlling our cars with mobile phones. Volkswagen and Audi have just released overseas an app that allows you to auto-park the car (similar to park assistant) from outside the car using the phone. Our government has already said that feature will be disabled on those models in Australia.

Nah it doesnt, which was a bit disappointing.. however all I did was go and buy a new iPod Touch, and connect it via the cable, so now it plays my whole library with all its album art. But what is so cool (and dorky) is that the touch has wifi, so whenever I pull up in my garage at night, it automatically connects to my house wifi and starts automatically updating my new song purchases, pretty much never have to remove the ipod from my car for updating anymore either

Has anyone got any experience with the iphone 5.
I am thinking about getting nav pro and extended Bluetooth. I wasn't going to get the smart phone interface as it won't fit my phone. I was thinking about maybe buying the adaptor for my phone later if it is released . I was wondering if there was any other changes in the car or coding that would stop the interface working if it wasn't ordered at build time? Thanks rozza. |
