Hi guys,

Got my F30 a couple of weeks ago. I've noticed that the car colour - which presumably is meant to match the colour of the actual car, and does, from experience - in both iDrive (e.g. when the Parking Sensors are on) and the instrument cluster (with Black Panel Display) is silver, rather than grey (I have Mineral Grey). From experience, the colour is usually pretty much exactly the same, but it's quite a way off (much lighter) on my F30, clearly a silver, almost white, rather than the dark grey.

Just wondering if this is normal? Everything else about the car is correct - it has no sunroof etc. - just not the colour?

I have a red 2013 335ix and my idrive shows a silver car.

Its only going to be gray by default. Showing car color would be distracting to the information provided and would need to be coded car to car. Not cost effective.

Someone who knows code in and out, could probably find a way to hack it. For that matter, I would like my image to be M-Sport specific in every image including the Sport/Eco Pro and Sport+ screens.

Thanks for the replies, my last car was light grey/silver, as was the demo I test drove, hence the confusion I thought it used the same image that e.g. the BMW remote app does, using the proper photo of the actual car and its options, taken from the chassis no!
