The first wash - Some Bilt Hamber treatment

With the arrival of the new car I decided there was to be no more one off trips to the Polish car wash for a quick clean. I'd prefer the car to stay dirty a bit longer until I had time to give it a proper clean myself. So I went and treat myself to some new cleaning gear:

- Nilfisk C125.7
- Wash and rinse buckets with grit guards
- Bilt Hamber auto foam
- Bilt Hamber auto wheel
- Bilt Hamber auto wash
- Bilt Hamber double speed wax
- Wash mit
- Wheels brush
- Applicator pad
- Microfibre buffing cloth
- Auto Glym fast glass
- Auto Glym tyre gel

A fairly solid starter pack on which to build up as I go.

After a few days driving to Port Clarence and back, the car was truly pitted. I'd hate to be working down there regular because the car would never be clean the roads are rotten!

So yesterday afternoon I set about giving it a good clean, started off with the wheels, the BH auto wheel really is unbelievable stuff. I had concerns that the 405m's where going to be a PITA to do but this stuff coupled with a wheel brush to agitate dirt in the corners made it an absolute doddle, the dirt pretty much just rinsed off and a light rub over with a wash mit at the end was all that was needed to get rid of some marks.

Auto foam applied, not a lot of aesthetic foam but it does state that and it works well at lifting off a lot of muck, followed this with the auto wash and two bucket method and finally finished it all off with a coating of the BH fast wax. I'll see how well this lasts over the next few weeks but it seems to get good reviews. It went on really well, ideal conditions for it yesterday, cool and slightly overcast, I found it easier to apply with a slightly damp applicator pad, left it for 10 minutes to go off and buffed it out with the supplied microfibre cloth a panel at a time. It came off really easy and left a nice deep shine.

The plan is to get the car ceramic coated at some point, I'll probably wait until the end of summer to have it done in time fornext autumn/winter. A couple of pals have had it applied and it just sheds the dirt even on these flithy winter roads.

A few pictures from yesterday:

Great stuff! Effortless, which is great as I'm lazy AF and this makes the annoying wheel cleaning as easy as possible!

Thinking of trying some of the foam products from BH once this prokleen runs out.

Well done that man, well done on the sheer preparation and amount of products in your cleaning regime.

A little OCD, but I like that, I'm the same.

Car looks superfly

Thanks!

I was thinking it's rather amateurish compared to some people's routines and arsenal of cleaning weapons. I'm certain my OCD will escalate though and more will be added as I learn
