I'm running PSS 235/35-20 on a 8.5" F and 265/30-20 on a 10" R and no TC problems here! 2015 428iX, the TC only light up a full throttle in a combination of wet and slippery garage floor when one or more wheels actually loose traction

I haven't seen a resolution posted for the last 3-4 of these problems. But 235/35F and 275/30R are closer in size than the OEM staggered setup so it's difficult for me to imagine tire selection is the cause. I've been hoping that someone will check back in with the secret sauce for the TC complaints.
same. seems like more f30 xdrive owners are running into this issue than any e90 owners. hopped over to e90post and members were running a number of different combinations with no issues

I haven't resolved the issue yet and it does still trigger the DTC when trying to accelerate quickly so I'm still switching to Sport+ when needed.

I've only talked to the shop where I had my tires/wheels placed to see if they knew of anything and to double check the balance (though I didn't feel any vibration on the steering wheel) but they don't have a clue to what might be causing the issue. I'm not going to buy another set until these wear out. I also do have the original wheels/tires that came with the car but again haven't had time to swap them out and see if it clears the problem, which I'm pretty sure it will since that's what it came with and didn't have the problem then.

Just for the heck of it, I unplugged the Stage 1 to see if it made a difference while driving home and it still triggered the DTC warning...

Sorry I'm new to the wheel world. Looked through the thread and still have some questions in mind. I'm looking to get a set of VMR CSL style rims wrapped in either the 19'' OEM or square set up. Does the rim width and offset affect rolling diameter? Say can I run 19x8.5 ET 35 F/19x9.5 ET45 R? or the width difference has to be within (.5) like the oem set up? Thanks alot..

Wheel width and offset don't affect diameter. Tire width and aspect ratio both have an effect. Aspect is a % of width, so a 245/40-19 tire has a larger sidewall and diameter than 225/40-19. http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=12

The wheel sizes that you mention are a good choice for an F3x. There's no requirement that the F/R widths be within a half inch.

Looks great, love the red color. Almost like how mine used to look.

I don't want to put the thought in your mind though - but the 35/30 sidewall section seems a little short for the F30. I had that too. I went to my 40 setup and it fills the wheel wells SO much better. like a half finger gap. Could just be the picture though.

Also nice to see another member from NJ . I'm from there and bought my F30 there, although I have moved

Looks like you nailed it kz! Glad to hear you haven't encountered any TC problems. Where did you score the morr wheels? Definitely an all-time favorite of mine. Keep up the good work!

That's great news! What tire brand did you end up going with?

of course. Spacers do nothing but push the wheels out, they don't affect the roll diameter.

Will put extra load on the wheel bearings but it shouldn't be a big deal.

Oh yeah, I remember seeing the ad about a month ago...a chance to own the last set of VS8.2 made for the F30. Quite the catch!

Sucks about your bumper but I s'pose that would be a lot easier to fix than those wheels. Did you decide to go for the lip?

Hi KZ, how are the 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 so far? Does the TC light turn on occasionally? Do you feel the transmission jerking when shifting?

Will running 19x9 in the front and 19x10 in the rear affect anything on my xdrive? Or damage anything in the long run?

I'm running 19x9 front and 19x10.5 rear. Car drives just fine. As long as all the wheels are spinning the same nothing should go wrong. Comes down to correct tire size also.

What are your tires size? Do you feel the transmission being jerky or the TC light comes on?
