600km run today...

Hi guys, well, I cracked the 1000km Mark today with a 600km round trip to Manjimup today, down in the SW of WA.

The car handled like a dream, I got 6.9l/100km, which I am pretty happy about. Man, those seats are comfy!

The only problem I had was some weird Nav directions around Australind, but all good - I just ignored her I did find, at one point, how to recalculate the route for each 'segment', but I couldn't find it again when I needed it!

The lane 'drift' function worked well, as did ACC, again, - I don't think I used the brakes or accelerator manually much at all for the bulk of the trip!

A quick pressure wash with the Gerni afterwards to get the inevitable bugs off and all was good. Bed time now, I'm knackered!

How do you get 6.9l/100km? is that in eco pro mode? I always get 8.1l/100km normally.

No, it wasn't in EcoPro (didn't seem a lot of point), that's just what it ended up being after 600km . Nothing special...

I did 7L/100km in my 328i in Jan on trip from Melb to Echuca, surrounds & back over a week. 4 people, full boot of luggage and a/c on the entire time. Hot days.

Pro rata, sounds about right.

Doing Xmas run ... I got 6.4 at average of 87.7km/h over a 800+ km run.... Very comfortable miles. Will do a post in new year when I get home. Of course, I am only in 4 cyl land.

Have decided the HUD was a very wise choice, makes long legs easy. Nav, tunes, phone, cruise all in front of you is sweet.

yup, did a trip for a few days drove about 800km all up and averaged 6.5L/100km. Pretty impressive, still had one quarter tank left after the 800km round trip, started on a full tank.

Don't forget mines a 6, which makes it even more impressive. IIRC, the best I got with the 135i was just into the single digits.

yeah that is good for a 6, my previous e92 335i was about 12 to 13, although that's mainly city driving.

Impressed with the 4 nonetheless, doesn't feel much off the pace from the e92 335i

Just got back from a decent 2500km round trip (Brisbane to syd and a few other places)

Over a year of having the car and still very impressed. If I wasn't sitting just over the speed limit all the time, I know I could have had under 5.8l/100, but overall I think it was about 6.1 and that's mostly due to all the road works and ridiculous speed zones in NSW (and stupid drivers!)

Such a joy to drive, really not sure what I could possibly replace it with.
