So here's a minor update:

Basically, long story short... the shiny pictures in the first post showing the brushed aluminium trim was the incorrect trim. Didn't want to kick up too much of a stink, so after a short wait and a separate issue that's now resolved, the trim was replaced with the correct hexagonal trim.. pics attached.

Also a random on the street pic

The hexagonal / black gloss trim looks great. Glad I got it. Thanks for the photos!

My god that looks good..

And yeah the hex trim looks a lot better IMO, especially with that sporty red interior

Thanks guys~! it's' been 2 months now and still loving each time I step into the Coral Red interior. I am glad I went with the hex trim over the brushed too... I'll be looking forward to seeing your pics when the time comes

Hey Spikey,
Just saw this thread and wish I had seen it a couple of months ago when agonising over whether to go for the coral red with alpine white. Your pics would have made the decision so much easier. Got the car last week and I reckon the AW and CR look awesome. Like you, I find myself sitting inside it or standing beside it barely believing how good it looks. I am in Melbourne, so we dont have to worry about stealing each others thunder.

Hi congrats on the car, great colour and LOVE the red interior. White was what I preferred over sapphire, I also found that the hifi stereo in my f30 MSport was tinny sounding, and thought the professional sound system in my e90 330 was better. Then over the past few weeks I swear it's improved dramatically, back in the e90 two days ago and the stereo wasn't as good as I remember. I no longer plan to upgrade the stereo and will keep it stock...

Thanks .. yea regarding the sound system, I've noticed that over time it's sounding better. Not sure if it's just that i'm getting used to it more or whether it's actually improving. Either way I'm still happy i spose
