Individual 440i LCI Coupe with Many M Performance Parts!

Hi everyone,

Saturday was an epic day trading in my 2.5 year old 640 Coupe for a new LCI 440i M Sport Coupe. The wait has been painful, ordered the car on the 14th April but it took longer due to the Individual interior and also the M Performance parts needing to be fitted.

Full spec in my signature, but key items:

BSM
Individual Opal White Leather
Individual Piano Trim
M Performance 405M 20" wheels
M Performance Aero package
M Performance Power and Sound Kit

Initial impressions are epic, but I do actually miss quite a few little things from my 640 e.g. larger iDrive screen, Sync button on climate control, boot open button in cabin, electric steering wheel adjustment and overall less plastics in the dash. BUT they are all minor in the grand scheme of things.

I will do a full review later - I've only done 100 miles so far! I am loving the MPPSK, especially the ability to go from quiet and refined to loud and hooligan with a quick switch of a button. The ride quality is excellent and even the 20" RFT's are okay for now - although I think they might tramline a little but that might be due to them being brand new.

One negative is I do have the dreaded MPPSK rattle but the car is booked back into the dealer on Thursday to get it fixed.

I love the interior, like the exterior it will be a complete bitch to clean but the Opal white merino leather is stunning. I've fully detailed the exterior with a Sonax C36 ceramic coating, but still need to do the wheels and I'll likely add a layer of carnuba in a few weeks for extra gloss.

More mod's will follow...

Anyway, less chat and here are some pics

Small video of the exhaust - takes a minute as the valve doesn't open in Sport until the engine is warm.

Finally, you've got it!

It looks really, really good, I'm sure you must be enjoying the ride a lot!

And I've already started mentioning to my Mrs. that our car will need some upgrades when it arrives... :P

What do you think about the digital cockpit?

Have you got the adaptive suspension (it isn't mentioned on the list)?

I didn't even notice while having test drives but it still surprises me how big manufactures of premium cars can sometimes miss such simple things...

Yeah loving it so far, but the MPPSK makes it hard to drive 'normally'.

I love the digi dash, but i think the best mode is standard Comfort. Having said that if you have it in Sport+ and Manual the dash has change lights which is quite cool.

No Adaptive. It's not really for me. First of all the ride on 20"s with the M Sport suspension is great, even on bumpy roads. Secondly I don't like the wallowy (word??) soft setup when the car has Adaptive in Comfort mode. There are a stack of times when I want to be in Comfort but still want to make progress and don't want the soft ride. I suppose I would like the Adaptives Sport mode for soaking up bumps but I won't miss something I haven't got.

One thing to note that in Comfort I do find the steering a little light, much lighter than in my 640. Not a huge issue, but certainly something I need to get used to.

No - see above post for response.

I really don't think it's necessary - for me anyway. Car rides epic on M Sport springs.

Wow, what a beautiful car!
I love the interior. White upholstery and the black trim really goes well.

Wow, that's one sexy beemer!
Congrats.

Talking about painful, i've paid for the order a month ago and i still don't know a production date on my 440xi GC LCI. Might be due to San Marino blue paint. These custom orders ... but i bet it'll be worth the wait

San Marino is awesome.

I wanted Grigio Telesto but couldn't stretch to it after all the other extras.

Looks amazing man! Didn't realize you could get that full leather dash, maybe only available in the UK? Or was it the "individual" option?

Do you like those little ///M badges on the sides? Seems only in europe do they tack them on.

Anyways again, stunning ride! Looks beast

The full leather dash comes with the extended Marino option.

It's great. I have it on my 340i. Makes the interior look much classier.

My leather dash is an Individual option which is over and above the Individual leather. Coming from a 640 which has leather everywhere I really wanted a quality interior. I really love it too, very high quality feeling.

Still plenty of mods that I am thinking about but I'm in no rush and some are small:

1. Tint front fog lights (will happen this week)
2. M Performance door sills (light up ones)
3. JB4 + BMS Intake
4. Change tyres to non-runflats
5. M Performance carbon mirrors
7. 3M carbon wrap on rear diffuser

Thanks for all the likes, I'm loving the car and making any excuse just to sit in it

Stunning looking car mate. I'm looking to fit the M-Sport front lip on mine as well, how much clearance do you reckon you loose on yours with the front lip compared to stock front bumper? Mine is lowered on H&R sport springs, so concerned if fitting the front lip will compromise the ability to get around...

Anyways, stunning car, cheers.

Love Opal Weiss but scared to death about its life.

How do you feel about the Lederflechtstruktur inserts instead of the typical 2 stripes?

Although it has been available in EU for several years, it was just recently launched in the USA in the last several months?
