I noticed you've posted similar threads with similar questions, many of which have already been answered in other threads. My best advise would be to use the search function. You'll (immediately) find other members responses to the MPG questions, etc.
In any case, you shouldn't have a problem finding your answer. There's a wealth of knowledge here sometimes you just have to look. Good luck. Last edited by wdlv; 03-22-2012 at 05:35 AM.. |

Non Non... cant trust that.. the computer is always optimistic... what you need to do is: fill up your gas tank! reset your trip computer drive it until it's practically on fumes then give us that number... this needs to be scientifically done... there is no room for guestimate here..

I am currently close to 28,000 miles and still have my first gas tank (seriously, I blame this on my car's big hole on the back ).

Note: Many PM me for links to the software needed to code. Please note that I do not have download links to this software. Your best bet is using the search function in the coding thread |

Instantaneous consumption does not answer our question here...
you could be rolling down a hill for 5 miles, going at 60mph without even stepping on the gas pedal, just letting the car in neutral, i will bet at some point you will get 100mpg ... but does not mean you will go 12 gallon X 100mpg = 1200 miles ! So please keep your instantaneous number away from this thread, we dont want to confuse people furthermore... You're a bit hardcore Entropic with your method! LOL

Hahaha... even though I don't drive conservatively, I keep track of mileage every time I fill up gas. I have an excel sheet that tracks my Honda Accord mileage trends that chains back to 2006 when I bought the car! . Just something that engineers do

Now that more members have their new f30, can you guys tell us what is the most miles out of a single tank, how good is the new f30 as a highway cruiser compare to your old car.

I believe the X5 can hold more gas, so not fair to compare
