I don't have extended Kombi (6WA) so cant comment about time position.

On the Basic Kombi after flashing to new firmware, heated steering icon shows up.
Thanks for the info, so if I understand it correctly, either the dealer has to update the KOMBI or I have to change the build date and flash the firmware, in order to change the istep to something 54 or higher, right?

You can update or the dealer. You don't have to change the build date. I used my factory FA (0312) and flashed all the modules. I'm not sure if just flashing the Kombi is enough, I haven't tried it. But I would recommend flashing all the modules if you are going to flash it.

It took me about 20-30min to flash all the modules besides the NBT. As I have a retrofitted NBT with different build date. I usually flash NBT/Trouch Controller and then using my factory FA flash rest of the car so SVT gets updated properly on VCM.

To flash Load your FA under Tal-Calculation menu.
Read SVT_Actual.
Activate your FA
Complete flash
Select ISTEP shipment for your build
calculate..
Then calculate TAL

Then you are good.

Then follow the proper flashing procedure. Use minimum 25AMP charger. I know it's recommended to use 70AMP, but I have flashed a few cars using my 25AMP one.

I am updated to the latest integration level on my 14 F32, but my clock is still centered between the tach and speedo. It seems like only the newer 15s have the clock in the bottom right corner. I'm going to play with KOMBI tomorrow and try to figure this out.

Try VO Coding Kombi using a 2015 Build Date.

When you change the build date, do you have to input a specific month or any random month in the new year will do?

VO Date cannot be random. For F30 MY 2015, use 1114 as date.

hold on, we can code in the function so I can (permanently?) set my steering to sport and leave the throttle mapping as comfort? If so I will so happy.

Were you successful in moving the clock to the lower right?

you can code the car so that you can select steering = sport / throttle = comfort.......and it will stay like that everytime you put the car in sport mode.

however you cant program it to start in sport mode everytime you start the car

Well I guess that is better than nothing. Has anyone confirmed how to do it on NBT?

updated Kombi with extended cluster but still no icon

Finally successfully updated the KOMBI firmware with 54.2 but still no heated steering wheel icon. I do have the extended cluster. I don't want to change the build date to 1114 since I was told that with the CIC, the dash nav directions will get messed up with the resolution and what not. Does any other module need to be updated as well? Just did the Kombi, out of fear, I might brick something. Also had a cow when I got the SOS malfunction light after the flash, but it finally went away after two starts of the engine.

Also changed the build date to 1114 but did not move the clock to the lower right either.

I'm wondering if other modules need to be updated besides the KOMBI for the display on the dash to show up.

My 2014 was just updated by the dealership due for a sensor fix and I now have the heated steering wheel notification.

thats a very good idea, personally i wouldnt think so but you never know.

Maybe you should update one module at a time until it works? I mean, only if you're really bored and really want it haha

I'll retry flashing the KoMBI, since supposedly with the new PSDZdata, the m_performanance logo should display m550 but mine still shows M_performance. And then go from there to the FEM_Body and so on...

Updating the FEM_Body to the latest finally made the heated steering display on the dash to show up. But gave up trying to move the clock to the lower right. LOL.

You VO Code with Motor on, same as FDL Coding.

Charger is needed for Flashing not Coding.

Oh, right. Maybe I will give it a go then. It's already a 14 and 15 wasn't much different. I just want to see the clock when nav info is up in KOMBI.

If you are on the new I-Level and you VO Code the KOMBI with an 0714 build date the clock will move. I just did it.
