Just wondering if the tape by itself will be enough to hold it to the car?

Ask for an unpainted one, and have a local shop paint match it. It'll look so much better. I purchased an unpainted ABS spoiler from painted_king2011 on Ebay for $40 shipped and had it painted by my body shop.

I've ordered this one
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2513341588...84.m1436.l2649 £29 (about $43 US) painted and delivered to UK! Seems ridiculously cheap but they have plenty of good feedback for other spoilers so i thought i'd give it a punt. |

Just installed. Here's a little walk around. Give you guys a better idea of size and fitment. 100% satisfied with everything about this purchase.

This spoiler is not a 100% replica of the OEM...
I purchased mine in Jet black and installed in my Arctic silver 335i. Though it looks fantastic, and matches perfectly with the glossy black mirror caps, i came accross a modified 335i Msport in a dealer the other day that had the mat balck spoiler fitted in the back.. The original spoiler was almost 10mm wider at the middle, and more shallow, or less inclined upwards, this giving a more pronounced extended length if seen from the side. Additionaly, its front edge, where it touches the trunck was very smooth as a a perfect extension of the edge of the trunck. Mine has a bulb at the fitting, that pronounces the start of the spoiler, and I assume it spoils all the smooth flow ( for what i believe its designed for). On the positive side, the shorter version looks much better, so I decided to keep the one I have and not change it to the OEM one...

I just installed mine. The color match is very close to the point where you really have to nit pick to guess it wasn't colored with the rest of the car. Very happy.

just bought the OEM spoiler because the dealer gave me a decent price and i noticed one visual design difference between the $89 rep and the OEM version.
If you look at the side edges of the spoiler, the replica has an indentation that flares up and out, whereas OEM is carved round all the way around and only extends upward. check out the pics. it's most noticeable in the first pic above i pasted from m. suka and my first pic below. hope this helps someone decide.
