I've been following this thread for awhile. Your LEDs look great by the way!
I just coded my rear turn signals and will install bulbs later today or tomorrow night. Quick question though, is there a consensus on what values in REM to code for the break lights? A couple posts back BL_ was mentioned but it said "un-tested". I have two sets of bulbs and want to put in the break lights at the same time as turn signals. Has anyone successfully coded the outer break lights? Thx in advance |

Boo.....
So I installed the red LED rear turn signal bulbs (Bimmian Part Number WTSAAA8R2) tonight and they look great. But the bad news is that the same bulbs do NOT fit into the outer break lamp slots. Totally different bulbs. Owner manual states P21WLL for turn signals and H21WLL for outer brake lamps. I will be retuning the extra set of red LED bulbs to Bimmian and would like to exchange for either reverse lamps or preferably outer break lamps. Does anyone know the Bimmian Part Numbers for the outer brake lamps (H21WLL) or for the reverse lamps (PW16W)???? Sorry if this was already answered in the thread. I'm just confused between all the BMW manual part numbers and Bimmian part numbers. |

So to double check, the rear turn signals and outer brake lamps use the same bulb type on your car?!?!?
On my car they are two totally different bulbs with two completely different bases. It is physically impossible to insert the same bulbs into both (I tried). The turn signals are a larger P21 bulb whereas the outer brake lights are about half the size and H21 bulbs. I'm starting to think this may be a subtle difference for the F32. Wish I took a picture of the bulb assembly last night. I followed the links several times, way to many options. Do you have the exact Bimmian part numbers you ordered? |

I have a 2014 328i so I think the bulbs will be the same. Here's what I have changed out from Bimmian with WeissLicht LEDs (both were P21W -- in spite of what owner's manual said)):

just to confirm with you guys the upper break light on the back windshield uses the pair of red turn signal bulbs, and the same can be said for the brake lights as when you break will light up in red LED

The middle is already a LED (so there's no need to change it). If it's different for you, I'm not sure why

ok but to do the break signals in LED i would just have to buy another set of rear turn signal bulbs from bimmien?…. Also lastly, have people been successful in coding the car to prevent hyper blinking from the turn signals or are people experiencing it from replacing their turn signal bulbs with these ones?

One set for the front blinkers One set for the rear blinkers One set for the left/right outside brakes (Don't need a set for the inners, they're not used - at least here in the states. Middle is already LED) One set for reverse lights There is no hyperflashing nor the blinking to check if there is a bulb out. I coded before I installed so not sure what happens if they're not coded but from what I've seen, you'll have the flashing problems |
