Good. It seems ridiculous that you'd have to go into the glove box to pop the trunk. From your description it sounds like it's similar to the release in my old E60.

I think they want it in the glovebox for safety, since you can lock it. Personally, I like it where it is, for easy access (kind of inconvenient to reach over to the glovebox).

Truck lid feature

is f'ing ridiculous. I stand at the liquor store with a box of wine and after trying to do the 'kick and step back' for a minute,,, start to look around and wonder if anyone thinks I have a mental issue. Finally set the box down and release truck. Also I am sorry i ordered the steering upgrade what ever that is called. I loved the steering in my 2010 335 msport and this is just too soft with no road feel. Acceptable but not like my past M3 or 335 msprt.BTW, I drive in sport mode all the time.... We drove to the cottage today along lake ontario and feel is ok, being an M sport 335, lovely steering wheel to hold and power is great with 8 sp and 335 but the feed back is not the same. Just to repeat, acceptable but disappointing. JMO. Hniel/Ont Oh I do love those big rotors and blue calipers.

LOL I like the cupholders and the storage tray top is cool too. My iPhone 5 fits in it like a cradle.

For us in the UK, the E90, E60 cup holders were brilliant weren't they? Any can, fast food drink, bottle, etc, would fit snug and secure. Plus it was cool the way they came out the dash!

But the Americans - the were greatly displeased, because as we know, they do everything bigger. Food, drink, people, cars ("trucks"), sport, etc...

So, what was normal to them drink wise did not fit the E90's European cup holders and my god did they kick up a fuss. So much so, BMW heard them and has made the F30 cup holders large enough to accommodate 2 fat bastards of a drink. So, as seen in many American F30 reviews, they are now happy (it's surprising how many reviewers make comment to them!!) and instead the Europeans are disgruntled. Being British though, we're not ones to kick up a fuss about such insignificant things and instead find other uses for them, such as storing the key!
Maybe it's a Brit thing to miss the point, or maybe it's me, but the F30 cup holder sucks because it has a cover that is supposed to stored in the glove compartment when not in use. Looks like a job assigned to a summer intern...

RIGHT?!

Contrary to others, I like the base music system, relish the cup holders (even though I'm American), and like the merging of the classic orange analog buttons with the hi tech HUD/Nav Screen.

Lol same. The kick and step back used to work all the time. (in the beginning i used to just play with it because i thought it was brilliant) now whenever i actually need it, it never works!

Having to disconnect iPhone Bluetooth to charge via USB then reconnect via Bluetooth every time I want to charge my phone is kind of annoying. If the cradle is the only solution, that should be included with a $50K car.

I hate that too! Center console switch would have been better or even a button on the door like 95% of the cars on the road.

Waiting 5 months to get the cradle for an iPhone 5. From reading here, connecting via USB is quite different and inferior to connecting with the cable, so I'll have to learn the software twice.

I actually like for the button to be available to the passenger. By putting it on the drivers door (my previous car had it this way) the passenger can't lock all doors if the driver gets out.

the gong or chime or whatever it is. my main gripe with bmw. and that it comes on at low tempertures repeatedly and is undefeatable. This is retarded.god forbid it be 3 celcius? wtf.

I actually know who to strangle regarding the gong tho. saw him on the cnbc bmw special. it s some young blonde dutch kid that is the chime engineer. i hope he comes to his senses.

And lastly, the inside door handles. people cannot muster enough torque to shut the door shut. especially females.

Window switches on the door. I prefer having them flank the gear shift lever.

I just see this as BMW's reminder to be chivalrous to the ladies. They already love the car and that scores points....but when you get the door of that car for them.....you are scoring touchdowns at that point.
