Ultimately what they want you to show is you have some risk of failure like a "real" business and you arent doing a job ordinarily done by an employee.... As for the M3, not sure it would be on my list given your usage / where it must get left, but I think a decent deposit and buying is a good idea if you think you will keep it. If you will want out when the nxt shiny new toy comes along or if family circumstances change, they maybe a PCP would be a better bet. And as said later models have had tweaks so worth seeking one of them out... |

That car is actually my old M3 (assuming you are talking about Sheffield Sytner).

Ok, an interesting day today. I went to look at a 6 month old San Marino blue m3 cp today. The car looked stunning so we started to thrash out a deal which at the close of play stood at 10k in 650/m on 12k miles, covering the 4k neg on my car. this wasn't quite at the manic number and the Apr was at 6.9%. so all in all not a horrendous deal but still not quite what I was hoping for. Just as I was leaving however, the salesman says they have a brand new car, same spec wlbut with the full m carbon pack which he says he thinks he can do for the same numbers so 10k in, 650/m over 12k miles and this also includes the first years road tax. This now becomes very interesting indeed, I think as we are nearing the quarter end we're getting closer.

update - I've put the deposit down went new in the end as the deals were better than buying used in the end.
m3 cp in San Marino blue, full interior and exterior carbon, hud, Harmon kardon yada yada. This really is a dream come true, sure I said that about the 340 which is still a fantastic car, but growing up there were 2 cars which were the dream cars - m3 and a Ferrari. So that's one of those ticked off

no, it's from Grimsby where I got my 340i. The car is in the UK so should be at the dealers by the end of the week, early next week, but we're away a week on Sunday so I may have to push collection back into July.

so it's got to that nervous 'wtf are you doing' stage! just got the paper work through and the numbers are there in black and white. It's truely crazy to spend this much on a car, on the other hand 0% is nice.
But, having said all that, YOLO, work hard play hard this is a dream car for me so, despite my usual WTF moment I can't wait to get this car! off on holiday for 10 days then I'll be picking up the beast when I get back.
