Wanted to see what settings you guys are running for street and track for. Compression and Rebound.

Anyone with an F22/F30 running this setup?

FWIW- Here's the out of the box specs :
KW Clubsport
Front rate:
80 n/mm
457 in/lb

Inner dia 61mm (2.40")
Length 170mm (6.70")

Rear rate:
120 n/mm
686 in/lb

Inner dia 61mm (2.40")
Length 200mm (7.87")

KW Stock out of the box Front and rear compression and rebound recommended settings

6/9

I have them on my m235i. Came with same spring rates they use for F30 though, but I run an Eibach custom spring up front (shorter and stiffer) since I run a square setup. Also unsure of weight differences between the two cars.

For street I run a pretty soft setting. This is what I remember, but I could be off a little bit.

Rebound:
Front - 4 clicks from softest
Rear - 2 clicks from softest

I'm thinking of changing these to 5F and 4R (stiffer), but haven't gotten around to it.

Bump:
F/R - 4 from softest (might go 5).

Keep in mind my custom front spring rate and I also run 40psi in the tires all around for the street so it stiffens up the ride. This psi helps with my tire wear with my aggressive front and rear camber. Also my tires have a pretty stiff sidewall.

For the track I run 2-5 clicks stiffer depending on the track. Though I'm now "retired" from tracking.

My clubsport also have the customed springs from the Swift company. Its because I have active hybrid 3 (heavier due to extra battery) which feels a lot better than KW springs did.

REBOUND

3 clicks from softest
4 clicks from softest

DAMPENER

5 clicks from softest
3 clicks from softest

I also have full sway bars from Hotchkis Co.

Thanks for the response guys, I'm pretty close to your settings. I'll be lowering the front and increasing the rear rates a bit (400/750) to try alleviate a bit of pitch in the car. I've got the headrests whaling me in the back of the head a bit more than I'd like for a daily.

The Clubsports really do have a ton of upscale and downscale flow capability. This is coming from having both Ohlins and JRZ setups on my dual use F80 I have sold. All good stuff , just wanted to try the Clubsports on my new DD/ Autox car. I think the kit will work well with just some tweaks to the rates - but set to the softer side.

I did remove the spacers on the shocks , vent disk it what I believe they call it. Had a little low speed noise , so I called KW and they mentioned some people remove that which I was surprised. Tolerable , improved but still there - appears to be a function of the camber plates and the design of the factory trapezoidal bracing tied back to the firewall. Had the same issue on my F30 335 and F22 228 years ago.

Thanks for the info!

isn't pitch a shock valving issue? shock or strut is not capable of handling the springs movement?

Hi, I also have a AH3, currently running KW DDC but was considering KW V3 or Clubsport, as DDC are too stiff even in comfort, and too low (i'm at max height and barely clear speed bumps), what specs did you choose for your custom springs?

Thanks!!!

Hi, I went thru 3 different coilover springs set and finalized with

Metric Coilover springs from Swift Springs,

Front: Part#: Z60-178-080 - 448lbs

Rear: Part#: Z60-203-140 - 784lbs

The final spring rate I chose was very close to the original KW CS spring rate but I feel like SWIFT Springs has a better break down and absorb a lot better than KW spring does.

Thanks a lot, much appreciated

How do you like your clubsport ? I'm looking for a setup that will perform well on street- comfortably to go on holidays with family- yet tight enough for spirited driving, and occasional track duty once or twice a year

I don't have other experiences with other coilovers, but I think KW CS is awesome for the daily drive and track use although I was able to soften up the damper and rebound a lot after the sway bar installation.
