Are they retrofittable? I wonder if I could push the dealer to give them to me at the cost they should have been installed at the factory for? Then install them for me? Hmm, this may come up in our conversation today when I go to take delivery.

Just to be clear, these brakes do not come standard on all 2014 F30 M Sports. They are also not installed based on "luck of the draw." You have to specifically order this option (option 2NH), and they cost an extra $650. If you couldn't find the place to order them, then that's why they weren't installed. BMW can't retrofit these brakes, unfortunately, unless you want the red, orange or yellow calipers, and that is around $2k (see here). Good luck!

The option was checked, and wasn't installed. That is where the rub is...

From what I've researched these breaks aren't available for the US. I understand they are only avail in Europe.

They are available in 2014. You can configure on bmwusa.com

Noticed something about the quirky site. If you configure the brakes on the 18" staggered wheels, it changes them to 19" when you try to save, email, or print the configure.
