This is the first I have seen of this system. It appears to be full CF and this partially is where the higher price comes from, still overpriced?? I think so.

The flap is described as being adjustable to change the low end torque curve and fuel consumption.

so increasing low end torque will increase fuel consumption ?!

put in mind this price is without the variable flap, you'd have to add $620 more

Lower end torque is claimed to increase fuel efficiencies because having more torque should get you moving easier. I don't agree. Usually something has been comprised to increase the torque.

I didn't see the option pricing People are out of the mind to think a 1.1k intake is worth it, let alone 1.7k!

Until I see data proving a 1k intake is better than one more than half the price I call B.S. Companies these days...

Not bad looking until you get to the strap that holds it in place. For that kind of money, they could at least powder coat those black. Cheaper than the CF Gruppe one though.

The question is, what controls the "variable flap"?

You probably need another MAP or MAF sensor that is tied to the throttle... And some form of mapping. TBH, there is not a lot of low end loss with these intakes...

Still think the GruppeM ones looks much better.

Typical BS from a European tuner. They see the three letters "BMW" and they think can charge a crazy ridiculous price. An aFe is less than half the cost and just as good.

Its not just them though. Meisterschaft, Akra, ACS, Hamann, Gruppe M, Vorsteiner, among others, they're all guilty of overpricing their items, with no proof of them being better than anything else. And yet, some idiots with too much money buy them, which is why they keep doing it. If nobody bought their overpriced products, they'd have no choice but to price them more realistically.

$150 Fixed shipping charges, damn are they personally delivering it along with a bag of Gold? I had a hood delivered for my 70 dodge Challenger that didn’t cost me that much. I don’t know where it’s coming from but that is a bunch of BS

Arma has stopped doing any superchargers and now focusing on intakes.

These intakes are high quality products. Overpriced ? Yes but i would not call them junk .

Even worse! They have cheap labor, yet still charge more than other companies who pay fair labor rates. Plus, theres still no proof of them being better than anything else.
