So, it is the same then as for the F10. The previous codes are for the status display only on the Instrument Cluster, and the other two are for the actual Gongs.

For the Gongs, look for these alternative names:

SBR_BF_GWF_SBR_BF ( aka SeatBeltReminder_SBR_Beifahrer)
SBR_FA_GWF_SBR_FA (aka SeatBeltReminder_SBR_Fahrer)

2) You cant add or code anything "on" that requires hardware you physically do not have, whether through FA (VO) Coding or FDL Coding.

3) You can accomplish everything via FDL Coding if you know what you are doing, although it can be more tedious when there are many changes required. But for instances where you don't fully know all the required FDL Codes to enable a feature, or for ease, if you have the required hardware, you can alter your VO Option Codes, and then VO Code a module(s), which will code the entire module, all at once, making all the FDL changes for you to support every Option Code in your VO.

So for example, removing 6NH from your VO and replacing it with 6NK won't automatically get you Enhanced Bluetooth functionality unless you physically also have a Combox.
ok, without hardware not fun... This is as normal life :-)

But now for my special topic. We know I have the combox.
So now I have to remove my 6nh (must I remove it?) and add 6nl, and all feature will be coded to my car, as I had ordered my car with 6nl?

I don't have to code step by step in the caf files.

Sorry, for asking so much, but I'm afraid to missunderstand by english Lack...

You have a Media Combox not a Telematics Combox, so it is 6NK we are talking about here, not 6NL.

In any event, yes, you can't have two different Bluetooth Options in your FA, so you would remove 6NH, replace it with 6NK, and then VO CMB_MEDIA and HU_CIC (so no step-by-step FDL Coding).

However, since you have already properly FDL Coded everything it seems, I don't think this will give you anything more than what you have now. You can try it though and see if Office functionality appears.

Do you have an 8Lx Country Controller Option Code in your VO?

at the moment everything is fine.

I had not connect to "Salapa" so i don't the country code
Don't know why, but I'm afraid of this ;-)

Was lucky to not break anything (I'm on leasing :-))

if bmw at service bring me back to basic, I'll try this option

Yes, you will be back to basic if the dealer programs the car at service, so then you can try FA method.

anyone else coding on the new HU's (HU_NBT, not CIC)? There are a lot of parameters that suggest support for WLAN/UPnP playback support (audio and video), as well as WLAN channel/ssid/encryption configuration parameters. I'll have to experiment some more with that.

S8L1A
S8LBA
S8LFA
S8LHA = Hong Kong
S8LMA
S8LRA = Russia
S8LSA
S8LTA

If anyone has any of the unidentified ones, please advise what code you have and what country you are in.

Thanks!
S8LSA is Singapore. The S8xxA are called "country controller", whereas those L8xxA are called "national version". Not sure wht effect it'll have if u delete a S8xxA (if u have one) & replace it with a L8xxA in the VO.

Yes, 606 is available for some markets, it's based on the "CHAMP 2" platform (using "MOTION" maps), whereas for cars such as early F10's 606 are based on the "CIC-MID" platform (using "MOVE" maps). From the ETK it seems like F10's from 07/10 onwards are fitted with "CHAMP 2" rather than "CIC-MID".

S8LFA Fleet Management
S8LHA Hong Kong
S8LMA Mexico
S8LRA Russia
S8LSA Singapore

Thanks for the explanation.

So F10's with 606 went from CIC-MID to HU-Champ beginning 7/10?

I thought CIC-MID was the better of the two?

Good God BMW makes it damn difficult to understand them.

You are referring to the Head Unit name in E-Sys I assume, but I also assume that with 606 your maps are still HU-Champ Motion maps.

And after you removed it, did you VO Code (not FDL Code) CMB_MEDIA and HU_CIC?

Connect => Read FA => Activate FA => Read VCM => Right-Click on CMB_MEDIA (the ECU itself not the underlying CAFD) => Select CODE.

Do the same for CMB_ECALL if you have it, and HU_CIC.
