window tinting

which is the most popular tinting option. pick the choice you have or the choice you like the best. Do not really know the differences between the brands but I have gone to Sunshield Glass Tinting in Sherman Oaks for 7 years and they do great jobs with all my families cars.

35% all around. I don't like the look of darker in the back and lighter in the front. and I definitely don't want to get pulled over for having 20% on the front windows. Believe me, it will happen, especially in CA.

Nope. I've had it for a month now on the BMW, had it on my Acura TL before (also a gray metallic) and my silver Nissan Altima before that. So in total, I've had this setup for at least 10 years, and never an issue. I've had numerous friends who did 20% on the front windows get pulled over. So it's not worth it to me.

Keep it classy and go the same all around is my vote. I think it looks weird when the front and back are noticeably different.

It also depends on the color of your car and interior. A dark tint will contrast a lot more with a white car for instance, and bring you more negative attention. Dark interiors reflect a lot less light and thus don't need as dark of a tint. I have 15% CXP on the rear window and 35 on both front/rear windows and 50% on the front windshield with a black interior and grey exterior. There are angles where the car looks to have little tint (front offset) and angles where it looks limo. Usually a good tint shop will be able to steer you the right direction if you outline your needs.

I do think it looks bad when you only do the rear windows or even worse when you just do part of a window (ugh at some ugly tints here in Michigan). Make sure to roll down your windows if you get pulled over.

I have the rollers too. Definitely handy on an extremely bright and sunny day in Los Angeles for the baby in the back seat.

I went with 35% on the sides and 20% on the back and every time i pass another car that has 20% all around I regret not doing the same!!! It just looks sexy 20%

I'd suggest getting the tint too. It definitely looks nicer, and it will cut down on the heat in the front if nothing else. And with the rollers up, it's practically dark in the back. My baby has no problem sleeping.

By "all around" you mean windshield as well?

I wouldn't do the windshield. Pretty sure that's a ticket waiting to happen.

Not an F30, but monsoon is pretty close to Mineral Grey. (Please disregard the first 2, prespacers ) 20% Rear Windshield, 35% F/R, 50% Windshield - all Suntek CXP

This one has the spacers , but the sunshade is there so maybe it's worthless haha

Doing the windshield is purely for heat reduction (I did 50% and you can barely tell). But yea, absolutely don't do a dark tint for safety/vision reasons, and cops will pull you over no questions asked. It's about as unsafe as those morons who completely black their taillights so you can't even tell when they're braking...

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I didn't mean the windshield, just all the normally tinted glass (doors and back glass). In most places the windshield isn't legally tinted.
