soooooooooo this just went from a thread where people are looking for a cheaper, OEM (if you will) option for performance and lowering .... to a DINAN thread where we all go broke for some suspension software haha
anyway, doesnt address people without DHP anyway. still looking to see whos done just MPerf springs. hell, im getting impatient. if i could easily find and order them i woulda done it already but having no luck with vendors.

No DHP here and I have X-drive, some have reported that the M-sport/sporline springs work fine with the X-drive, so if the M-performance springs work with the RWD they should work with the X-drive by extension... lol

Actually, my thought is that it's best to use a spring that is designed for a ride height very close to stock (within 1/2" or so) to retain close to full travel range. The M Performance springs are 10mm lower than the sport springs, so this would be well over an inch drop for an xDrive car. Also, I wouldn't jump 2 steps up in terms of firmer spring rate either; the stock dampers on the xDrive cars are softer than the RWD sport dampers, so the M Performance springs might be a bit of a mismatch with those dampers. For you, probably best to try the OEM sport springs before M Performance springs...

Agreed but at 10mm the drop would be minimal. The M perf suspension is an additional 10mm lower, bringing the total to 20mm. That's less than one inch. Having 4 passengers lowers the car more than 20mm. I don't know how much stiffer the M perf suspension is vs stock or even M sport but it is worth a shot.

This is still not very much though, so with the stiffer spring rate, maybe you will be OK after all.

I was under the impression that the X-drive had the same height as the base non-sport RWD model.

So if that's true, the total drop for an xDrive on M Performance springs would be 20mm, or a little less than an inch. Guys on the forums are going much lower than that with H&R Sport springs...

At any rate, I think a slightly shorter/stiffer spring (Dinan or MPS) will match up nicely with our OE sport dampers.

I have an M Sport with DHP and i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on this and going M springs only.
I was emailing Tischer and they say that several E90 guys installed just the BMW Performance yellow springs and had seen success. Hoping the same holds true for the F30. For less than $500 could be pretty worthwhile. |

My hot engine oil and eventual shut down..another issue. The 335i needs an oil and diff cooler for serious HPDE abuse.
