Just found out that if you have the convertible, the kick to open the trunk function will not work.

You need one click to switch from comfort to Eco pro, same when switching from Eco pro to comfort and comfort to sport and back. However if the screen is not showing which mode you are in and you try to switch from sport to sport+, you are going to need two clicks.

If you have a 2014 car with NAV plus an iPhone, holding the voice command button on the steering wheel rather than a quick tap will bypass the normal BMW voice recognition system and activate Siri instead, using the bluetooth mic to listen and stereo speakers to answer you. For me this is the most useful piece of tech yet out of all the new F30 features as I use Siri all the time. Now if you are driving 155 mph and suddenly want to know the capital of Thailand, you're set. Or, you can play a song, text your wife, tell siri, "Wake me up in 15 minutes" etc… Actually texting someone verbally and legally and having Siri read the reply will probably come in handy.
Doesn't work for mine using an iPhone 5 and mt 2012 F30. Shame. But with the latest iOS you can say "Hey Siri" when the phone is connected to power and it opens Siri up. So a workaround for you; pressing the voice button silences your radio obviously, and then you can say Hey Siri with no ambient noise so that the phone can hear and then hit the voice button again (or "she" will say she didnt catch that and give voice command suggestions!) now Siri is active the mic is active to the phone so you can command Siri as you wish.

This seems sensible. Now the radio waves your phone emits are closer to your ''boys''...

JTuds; I presume you have a louder than normal noise and I experienced a problem with this myself. Leaves and other foliage had gotten into the system as the grille that stops them doing so has a large mesh pattern meaning items can sstill get through. If it sounds like a lawn mower then the chances are this is your problem, get to the dealers and ask them to empty it and then retrofit a smaller grille on it.

Once I had to slam the brakes hard coming to a stop - I believe this turned the hazards on, unless it is just my imagination, and it might just be a Europe things (in Europe they do this manually so cars on the highway notice they've come to a stop). Thought this was fairly cool.

Yeah I tried this on mine the other night and it didn't work. Why don't we have the kick open feature on the Verts?

Don't know if that can be coded, but you can code the brakes so when you hit them hard the inner brake lights flash.

Yes, the hazard lights on heavy braking can be coded, but I've never tried it.

I don't know if enabling both things (hazards and flashing brake lights) can both be enabled at the same time or not.

You don't have to code them in the US, it's standard operation "Brake Force Display" where the inner lamps come on. You can code the brake force display to flash like in Europe though, but the US one also works well in panic braking situations.

Comfort Access. Maybe this has already been discussed but I'll post it anyway.

As we all know (I think) you can roll down the windows and open the sunroof by holding down the "unlock/open" button on the remote control. You cannot reverse the process and close everything by holding down the "lock" button on the remote (the logic escapes me as to "why" you can't do this.

BUT! I just found out that if you have everything open, all you have to do is put your finger on the door handle and hold it there for a bit and everything will closed.

Oh, forgot. You have to KEEP your finger in place until everything closes or it will stop mid-cycle. That may seem stupid to some but I'd bet is that it's to avoid somebody getting injured during the closing process. They could setup the remote the same way I'm sure - hold down the button until everything closes.

Alas, I am not a person that can do "coding" so "searching" for a DYI end around is of no use and, frankly, coding this kind of thing should have been done at the factory in the first place.

It is done at factory but only for certain markets. Different rules and regulations dictate what is programmed at the factory.

My Australian f30 has full open/close with remote. I think same for UK market.

Probably common knowledge, but the power button for the radio is actually pause.
Will pause satellite, bluetooth and probably terrestrial radio and CDs too for up to 30 minutes (I dont assume theres a timer for CDs), and empty the buffer when changing stations.

I stumbled across this by mistake, then of course when I Googled it everyone knew about it lol.

But I at least never saw it in the manual.

Yeah, mine closes everything while holding down the Lock Button. and Holding down Trunk Open Button While Trunk is Open Closes it as well. Also the door thing works too.

Different markets have the remotes programmed differently.

I was talking about coding the flashers to come on. And you are right you can code them to flash rather than just light up under a panic stop. That is what I have done and have a nice video of it too it's pretty cool :-)

I believe the buffer only works with satellite radio.
